no they are probably serious! the members do think they are the only ones that will be saved. I work with a few of them and its really insane.
So it was estimated that from the beginning of mankind until 2011 there had been 108 billion people on Earth, that included the ones that were alive at the time of the calculation. And only a few hundred that attend/attended/will attend the Powderly Holiness Church are saved and going to Heaven? Hmmm...

Let me put it this way, there's religion within religion, whithen religion and every religion has its own beliefs, and of those beliefs l, they believe there right, and because they believe that it's means all other religions is false, thus making religion the single most hated thing, u get 2 people who both believe in the same beliefs and I got money that fight over who's right, it's happens tons of times on wife swap.

You woke up this morning didn't you? Now in typical non-believer form, I expect a very detailed explanation of why I am wrong, complete with huge words and much philosophy. Been through it all before.

And why am I not surprised by this response. These type of comments are typical responses made when we can't explain something or we are just at a loss for knowledge...one thing about it, you better hope you are right, because if there just so happens to be something to this "big business of church" and God is real (which yes, I do believe he is) somebody gonna be mighty warm for a mighty long time. Are you willing to take that chance?

What if you're wrong about Allah, Krishna, Athena, Odin, Hades or the Great Spirit? Following your logic, you need to worship all the gods to cover your ass.

There is more the response I expected. Bravo. If I follow "my logic" I believe there is only one God, the one who sent His Son to die for or sins, at least according to the best selling book of all time, aka the Bible (maybe thay is more big business as you call it). None of the others you mentioned even "supposedly" did that. So, if my "logic" is wrong and this really is all just for profit, "making big money so easy the cavemen did it", then we die, and become worm food. If your logic is wrong, you will be begging the great spaghetti monster as you say for a side order of icewater. So who really is the smart one here. I will not reply any longer, as I have been down the road before. Arguing with an atheist is a losing battle, and you will simply have to be brought to your knees, and trust me it will happen. I have seen it many many times, just hope it don't happen to you too late.

I'm just going to throw this out there, and I might be attacked by both sides here...but technically Muslims worship the same God that Christians and Jews worship. The difference here is
Christianity - Jesus viewed as son of God and savior.
Islam - Jesus respected, but as nothing more than a prophet.
Judaism (except Messianic Jews)- Jesus not son of God/savior.
The three largest religions in the world worship the same God, the difference being what it takes to make it to heaven/paradise/whatever you may call it, in the end.
Also, according to laws in most countries that go by Islamic law, it is illegal for Muslims to call Jews or Christians "infidels" (the term used for pagans/non-believers) because Christians and Jews are "people of the book," and worship the same God as Muslims, only with some changes in religious dogma.

"at least according to the best selling book of all time" The Quran has sold a lot of copies too. Is that an indication of whether or not it's true?

"So, if my "logic" is wrong and this really is all just for profit, "making big money so easy the cavemen did it", then we die, and become worm food." No, following your logic, you could be wrong and burn in the hell of some other religion. You need to follow all the religions, to cover all the bases.

"If your logic is wrong, you will be begging the great spaghetti monster as you say for a side order of icewater." That's not my logic. It's a parody of yours.

"Arguing with an atheist is a losing battle" That's true because your arguments are irrational and therefore doomed from the beginning.

"and you will simply have to be brought to your knees, and trust me it will happen." Save your fantasy threats of children and dumb adults.
