Hello,
I am new to the area and in need of a good roofer. I saw an ad in the local paper for Tim Flener. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if he has worked for you and if you would recommend him. If he worked for you did he do a good job and were his prices reasonable? If you don't recommend him do you know anyone else?
Thank you to anyone who can help me on this.
Thank you for any help you can provide

Dear Susan, Tim put on a large roof for me and did a great job with the new installation as well as the cleanup and removal, so I personally would recommend him.

I heard he was pretty good. We used Tony to put a roof on for us years ago. He started on it the end of October and did not complete it until the first of Feb!! I had to call him every other day. He would always say he would be there the next day...but as you can guess, he didn't show up half the time! He said he had done extra work and tried to over charge us but we refused to pay. We had his estimate and told him we only wanted the work done that we had originally ask for. When he FINALLY finished he tried to charge an additional $500. We refused to pay! My husband inspected what he "said" he did and he lied!! He never did any extra work! So glad we didn't pay him that extra money!! After having words and refusing to pay the extra money they refused to give us a receipt. When the roof started leaking a few months later we had no warranty! He is a crook!! Everyone told us we should have used his brother! I hope you have better luck than we did!!

Do not use Tim!!!!!!!

Don't know anything about Tony.

Tim put a new roof on my parents house. Crappy job. Overpriced. Later it started to leak very badly. We called him. And called him. And called him. He finally called back about 3 months later. Said he had been sick and was running behind but would get to it.

HA! What a joke that was. After waiting over two more months I called him again and left a message and practically begged him to call us and either let us know if he was coming and if he couldn't, and we understood if he couldn't but please just let us know one way or the other, he never called back.(Still hasn't called to this day.) We found someone else to fix it and they did a better and cheaper job than Tim would have.

**And Tim if you are reading this you know exactly who I am. You can't keep doing people dirty and not expect the word to get out about you.**

Tim put on a roof for our family. He did not put it on correctly, was supposed to correct it, sent young guys up late, near dark. We had leakage problems. We tried calling him, and calling him, etc.... He called back... ONCE... left message saying he was behind due to being ill, but he would get to us, knew of the house we were in. After three months, and more leakage, he still did not show. We finally hired just a handy-man, and he did a much better job. He pointed out the leakage occurred because the tacks used to hold the shingles down were put on in the wrong places on the shingles. So, after 6 months of trying to get Tim to correct his ORIGINAL mistakes, we had to hire someone else. I will never use another Flener. I'll hire someone from Evansville first!!!
