Jefferson Co. seeking homes for abused horses

Sixteen horses and one donkey taken from their ranch during an animal abuse investigation are now up for adoption.

I know a young girl who has a very rare skin disease. She is 11 years old and loves horses. Recently her dream was to go to California and ride a horse on the beach which was provided for her by some friends. This disease she has will not allow her to have a full life. I would love to see her have one of these horses. I know she and her family would take very good care of it and they have the property for it.

i have never owned a horse but i have worked with horses my favorite dollar (spoilt lover) was sent away and he never came back it was then i realized how much i loved that horse i had trained him not to be afraid of the halter or fly viel i had builded trust and now it feels as if i left him to starve somewhere alone i only hope he is at a great home

i would love to have one of these horses i don't care what colour or breed but only if it could be riden.
