If in fact it is true as the commentary suggest, there is still the matter of some hard drugs where stolen and most probably used for purposes other a medical doctor prescribing for an illness. Besides the fact of stolen drugs being an issue, there is also the narcotic count being falsified by licensed personnel and having controlled narcotics in possession of an individual unauthorized (without prescription). All are serious crimes and probation is just a slap on the rist and most likely the record will be espunged after 2 years. Regardless of peer pressure or pressure by an authority figure to take narcotics, the individual still has a choice of reporting and quitting. Plea dealing is good to shorten a prison sentence a couple of years for cooperation with authorities but probation is not appropriate for the crime committed if infact the drugs where stolen as the commentary suggest. We need a new DA come next election it seems like.

Mike's a good guy and a brilliant paramedic. He's one of the best I've worked with, and one of the best ever to work at HCEMS.
Everyone screws up once in a while.
