Probably because, as sad it is for his family, killing him got some of the drugs off the streets. I mean he came here because it was "easy money". Karma has a way of getting ya, even as twisted and sadistic his murder was. God bless his family and pray they are able to cope.

Umm heartless much. Wow He was still a PERSON. Human being. Flesh and blood. Nobody deserves to be murdered. Let alone so brutally. Regardless of a past or present. Wanna talk about karma? I'd watch what I say... And you sweet God loving christian that wants to say God bless at the end of that?? Just after all but sayin he deserved that?? Yea... Bet you got some lovely karma headed your way!!

So I take it that the News Reports of him leaving Nashville to get away from that type enviroment were false ? Looking at your comment it seems as though you knew of this guy while he was still living ?

Knew of him. Did not know him personally. My daughter's friend has a brother who was involved with him before he left for rehab. He was murdered for the cash and drugs he had on him, so pretty obvious he wasn't here to get away. The youth he hung around was easy money.

Now my other statement was in no way suggesting I believe he deserved what happened to him. I was merely responding to why no one was commenting on this topic. Many I have heard talk about this have made the point to express their disgust with what he was doing, which was supplying drugs to the youth of our community. I DO NOT believe anyone deserves what happened to him, but when you deal with people like that you are taking that risk. Yes God bless his family. They are the ones dealing with the result of all those involved actions. "Wow" if I offended you, well who am I kidding, I don't care; however, I do disclaim that I do not agree with the how he was brutally murdered. I was just answering the post before me.

Not like the "youth" of your community wouldn't have gotten it elsewhere. Not his fault they choose to live that way. Jus sayin

Great to know we have someone who supports the drug dealing. Do you sell to 15/16 year olds, too....I mean since they'll get it elsewhere one way or another anyways?

Probably so; however, I am sure most residents would agree with me when I say we'd go to each dealer one by one and throw them out if that were a possibility. Unfortunately, it's not that easy.

Throw them out, sure! Wish the cops in these small towns wasn't so crooked cause then it wouldn't run so rampant...

Every1 wants to blame the cops. There is only so many place they can be at 1 time. And only so much the law allows them to do. Not every small town has a crooked department and even when there happens to be crooked cops ... it doesn't make all of them crooked. Regardless of what th job may be or what industry someone may be crooked. Not just cops. Hate it when people throw that crap out there. If it weren't for law enforcment, crime would be running rampant, worse than it does anywhere. They go out everyday and put their life one the line for complete strngers. One great example: officer Keith Bellar of Dickson who lost his life or Hootie Bentley and Carl Hutchinson who were both injured in the line of dutyand will live with those injuries the ret of their lives. How about people be respectful instead of derogatory. One day you may need them to save you!

Idk yalls town law enforcement but I'm sayin a lot of small towns... Can't lock away their own dealers. Such a shame. As I stated before, these people all choose the life they live. Sometimes not with the greatest outcome. But you find out who someone is..

It is awful what happened to the boy and hearts go out to the family of him. Yeah young people make mistakes and get hung up in a bad crowd but he shouldn't be judged for it or have paid his life for it. And all the people talking about all the drug dealers need to be punished , if you do that then nobody would be left in Hickman county at all. The town is run about like the show dukes of hazzard only one family runs the show around their and centerville church of Christ . If you ain't any part of them or the church you are scum. Don't judge people just learn from what happened. Just saying.

No, poorly said. You basically just stated that everyone in this county is on drugs or deals drugs. Completely untrue. I know of GREAT people in this community who do not fall under either category. I don't think he was being judged for others poorly made decisions, but his own. He had $15,000 CASH on him as well as drugs, which is what he was murdered for. That is what it seems he is being judged for. And its not the church who run the county but the people who get out there and get invovled. They aren't just lazy, sitting back, and waiting for others to do something. Get your facts straight before you go talking out your rear end!

Wrong again. Apparently your not aware of your surroundings.I myself have live in Hickman all my life till now. Crime is bad there. Meth is bad there. And it is that way because there is no job opportunities for people and literally just bars to hang out at and creekbanks . I myself had tried to get a job around there but guess what I didnt come from the right family to get any job. You don't get a good job around there unless you know the "the people". It's not fair the way it is run. And get your head out of your rear end cause I've lived on Columbia avenue for years believe me I know how it goes apparently your just blinded. You must be part if the church to say something like that. I know that not everyone uses drugs there but there are more that do than don't. So before you want to tell me I'm wrong then why did I have to move out of state to get the respect and great job me and my kids deserve. Cause Hickman county did nothing but judge me and I've never been in jail never got a ticket only judged by my elders mistakes. So before you want to call people ignorant live where I did and you see what I've seen. I also moved because I didn't want my kids to get wrapped up in the crap that goes around and be treated like I was. I loved the school system that's about the only good thing going there . Thank you for your time and opportunity to speak opinions.

You are so full of it. First off, I am completely aware of my surroundings, thank you. I grew up on Morrison St. Know where that is? You should if you grew up on the Avenue. I don't think the topic had anything to do with job opportunities, but we'll go that route if you must. No there isn't a lot of opportunities, just like most small towns. That's why I commute to Columbia five days a week. As for my church, if it is any of your business, I do not attend the church of christ but baptist. Crime and drugs my dear are ANYWHERE you go. Don't blame your upbringing or who your family is as to how you are treated. Mine were not thought well of, both addicts, but I did something about it. I got student LOANS and went and got an education. It is all what you make it. Only you control your outcome. You think highly of the education system? Great example for you then would be Mr. Burlison. He did not come from money but changed his life for the better by having determination and look where he is now. Doing very well. Great man! Because he wanted a great life for himself and his family, and I am sure he didn't blame any of his misfortune on anyone else.
Oh, and I didn't say you were ignorant. Obviously you just already knew that.
