Dont look for the Federal Government to help. We are poor white folks. Obama did not even take notice.

Obama did declare your county and many others for FEMA help in TN for flood relief. The people in Nashville have help their neighbors and are now looking to branch out. We need your local people to tell out local media what you need.

FEMA/Obama is not the problem it's the local administration. NO WARNING SIRENS OR NOTHING although our County received grant money in 2006 for 25 sirens. The water came up so fast there was really no time to prepare without warning. The Hwy Depart is working hard to fix our roads but proper maintenance of culverts etc would have lowered the number of road outages not located on the main river/creek ways. What we need in this County is for people to wake up and make a difference this August (election) so the next flood will not affect as many.

FEMA is not helping like you think, I know of one person who has told thier house was uninhabitible and FEMA offered them just over $500.00 and told them they had to move out. How is that help? Everyone had sometype of damage they have to take care of before them can help others. Last weekend a large amount of people were out at the ballpark on Old Mill Creek fixxing it up.

Recent flood events has caused me to do some candidate shopping. I believe I have found my candidate for County Mayor. He is Fred Frame and he has a website with very important questions and answers to his vision of command. Take a look at what he stands for and his plan of action if elected. He's gonna get my support!

Well the juice is back on, the water is in the taps and most roads are passable. The County Commission has been talked into borrowing $2 mill for road repairs and have been told to look for
$2 to 4 more million in near future. They (Comm) is being told the State & Fed FEMA will reimburse up to 87%. If the Commission keeps borrowing money then what will keep the officials from dragging their feet on getting the FEMA money? It's sort of like the lawyer thing-a lawyer will work harder and faster for you if he gets gets paid accordingly. The Commission does not need to borrow any more money, wait on the FEMA money to come in.
