White Bluff woman killed on I-40, hit by car traveling wrong way

Nashville Metro Police say a Centerville man was drunk and driving the wrong way on Interstate 40 westbound when he crashed head-on into White Bluff resident Katie Kerr's car, killing her near the Davidson-Cheatham county line Wednesday morning.

There you go again, drinking and driving, has yet again taking the life of a young motivated girl, i hope he gets it in return, but by seeing all the other cases he will walk away and get a small slap on the hand and back to drinking and driving, its also funny to me that he had been drinking since 3:00 in spring hill and ended up on Interstate 40 thats a long distance apart

Ian was a good kid from a fine family. Our hearts beak and prayers are extended to all who are touched by this tragig accident. When will society stop advertisiy alcohol as them good for society and start saving our young Americans from the slaughter.

To Katie and her family...our hearts break for your tragic loss...these words are so inadequate for all the suffering that your family has experienced and all that will continue to occur. We didn't know Katie, but her picture portrays a loving, kind, and gentle young lady.
I am Ian's cousin....what happened was beyond horrible, and NO, Katie did not deserve to be killed. NO EXCUSES. Our family is terribly sorry and IAN would take it all back if he could, but he can't. He will live, with this tragedy forever, as will Katie's family and friends.
Ian has said he should've been killed, not Katie...he has a 23 year old sister, himself.

Ian, and our family extend our sympathy to Katie's family and friends. We pray God's grace can bring all the comfort, peace, and love necessary to get through this horrible nightmare.

katie was a amazing preson that will be missed i feel NO sympthy for ian hope he lives the rest of his life in jail. There is no exuses for take the life of such and amazing young girl.

Katie Kerr was such a beautiful, loving girl, a young life that wasn't ready to be taken from this world. To Ian's STUPIDITY, I hope he does think of this everyday...because those that lost a friend, daughter, sister,...will always suffer that emptiness without her. To those that didn't get the chance to meet her, you missed out on a great smile that brightened the room! She will be missed terribly. She was part of our hearts...
