Totally bogus math, Dude. You conveniently forget this is an ADDITIONAL, MULTI-YEAR request for money which brings the total ANNUAL bill to a $100K homeowner near $500. Over 10 years, dude that's $5,000 or $10,000 for.$200K homeowner.

Dude! Okay--Dudette since someone took your man-card away.

Any way you look at this, my simple math beats yours any day of the week. This levy raises $4.4M per year. Let's just say for easy math that our population is 26,000 with 2.6 individuals per household. That gives us 10,000 average households to foot a $4.4M bill PER YEAR. That equates to $440 per year, per household on average.

Dayton Daily News reported:
"In 2014, property owners would pay $463.66 for every $100,000 of property value - more than any other township in the county, unless additional levies are approved, according to the auditor's office."

Pretty damn close to my simple math for an "average" 100K house.$5,000 over the life of the levy.$10,000 for a $200K house over the life of this levy.

If you were running an " Honest " levy you would have advertised it in the paper so the tax payers could come to your meeting and openly oppose it. But just like your string of lies, you are "AFRAID" to put the word levy on your signs. We are tired of all of you and boy do we need change. It's way past time to clean house. Oh yea response time, hear this. When the new school bus turned onto Turner drive off st rt 48 not long ago. The people at the transmission shop saw it and ran to station 23 right there next door. Long after the bus was a total loss, 45 minutes later the fire trucks came. Took 45 minutes to go 100 yards. Pickett that must have been on one of your days off.

Those attending township meeting asked if there would be a community wide meeting held to discuss the fire district budget
before putting the additional levy on the ballot.
Instead, of being transparent with taxpayers,Mr. Pickett and Mr.
Kidd hurriedly held an early morning meeting, and Mr. Wade and Mr. Gabbard were the only two trustees who agreed that the time has come for the government to ask for more.

Hard working citizens and taxpaying homeowners should be given more respect than this by our Clearcreek Township Government leaders. It appears that the president of Township Trustees has been in public service so long, that he now believes he owns the public. The time now has come when Mr. Wade believes that his "government" knows better how to spend OUR money than the taxpayer knows.

Truth Is...Taxpayers know that this additional levy is not needed to fund needed public safety services. Why should we pay more?

Time to go to the polls on May 7th and Just Vote NO!

I just travelled a different way home from 75S to 73E through Springboro and then 48N through some more of the township. I saw just one rather large, obnoxious yes sign.

I would say based on the open lack of signs, there is no support for this levy. Unless there's a bunch of sleeper cells out there.

I can tell you that the "NO!!!" voters will be at the polls.

This request is whole lot of money and no one can explain what they are using it for. Even if they've been spending $2M more than their budget, why $4.4 Million? Why didn't they cut spending on the $2M??

Average joes cannot spend more than they have and stay out of debt.

The "sleeper cells" are located on almost every side road, cul-de-sac, and neighborhood in this fine town. There are over 100 public endorsements for the levy and a slew of positive media stories that look past your short-sighted, "me-first" mentality.

If you don't see the support, you should probably visit the DMV and see about having a corrective lens restriction placed on your driver's license.

So I tooled around my subdivision and there are Zero yes signs. What are you so angry about? You really need to get some anger management class under your belt before you blow a gasket or worse yet, hurt someone besides yourself.

Granted, I report a small sample size, but they are 2 major highways with a ton of traffic, so you would think that the yes-men would want to get the coverage there because of high visibility.

Maybe we could get the other bloggers to report their own subdivisions. If there are no signs, it means there is no support.

Either that, or none of the supporters is proud to advertise to their neighbors that they are going to vote for it.

Time has come to Just Say No.

It is the only response that taxpaying homeowners can afford.

Mr. Kidd cannot afford withholding public safety services, as punishment to citizens for saying "No Thanks, We cannot afford more taxes.

Just Vote No on May 7th!
