do you read the papers? pages of arrests every time you read it. i know me and my family feel so much safer with eddie perry as our sheriff. he works with all agencies. he gave the ladies in the office a raise to make their pay equal with the male counterparts. this guy gets it. he is a servant of the people. big jerry the million dollar home sheriff always had his hand in a dealers pocket. preacher is a great man and preacher but has little to no experience. he got mad cause his son screwed up bigtime and was laid off. you better pray perry get elected for the sake of the county and its residents

I did not vote for him, but I have to admit Eddie works hard, is polite and cordial, and is trying. Jerry had his day and the people said ENOUGH. Curtis? That is a joke.

Eddie does not work with other agencies. He does not allow his deputies to work wrecks, he makes central dispatch call KSP on all wrecks. McGehee is a good man and would be a great sheriff. His son left to go to work for Central City Police Department, he was not laid off. People need to get their facts straight.

the preachers son had his drunk girlfriend in his cruiser on the clock. with open containers! those are the facts. trust me i know for sure 100%. also why would you want the sheiffs dept wasting the taxpayers money working car accidents when they can be out fighting drugs? do you not remember the last dictator we had? the one who threaten citizens that had his opponets yard signs? the one with all the money and had all his family on the payroll? perry gets the job done ask people who know like probation and parole, pennyrile narcotics, and ksp.

I did not know that serving the people that elected you is a waste of taxpayers money. Working accidents is a police officers job. The KSP had to get Tony Ridley out of a house twice, after Eddie screwed it up!!Eddie has also given guns from the Ridley case to some of his deputies. He took one rifle to his house. I guess he needed to protect his lortabs.

I know you can not investigate anything, so I am not worried. Answer me this, what swat team removed Ridley from the house? I know it was KSP. KSP went into the garage and got him out the first time as Eddie hid behind a propane tank!! Also KSP and KSP DESI make far more drug arrests than Eddie, they just do not call the paper for the press. My facts are straight, you need to realize what is going on around you.

i work in law enforcement so in fact i am aware of what transpired on that particular incident. by the way you would be very surprised what a law degree and a masters in compuer science will enable you to investigate. please keep typing your uninformed and slanderous comments. you my friend need to get a clue about how things actually work. this is all a matter of public record according to the open records act passed long ago. if savy enough you can investigate and find out anything or anyone.

As far as sheriff, I believe Eddie is trying very hard and does a good job but I also think Mayhugh did a good job too!!

I will say, someone once told me that Mayhugh wouldnt back down from anything!!! He was the thoughest guy they had ever seen. We were probably lucky to have him in the county. I dont remember anybody saying anything good about the previous sherifs anyway.

This county doesnt have the great jobs we use to have when the mines were the best thing around and a lot of people have become desperate. Also seems around here you had better be related to someone to get a decent job anyway!!! The drug problem is mainly for a lack of decent paying jobs and people who are desperate to support multiple children from multiple relationships.

Even if everyone could afford and were given the opportunity to go to med school or law school, not everyone has the brains to become a doctor or lawyer or other decent paying job anyway.

The economy around here just sucks!!!

A lot of poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer and more powerful!!!

I think Mayhugh made a lot of money from previous investments and a lot of people thought he stole money to have a big house. I think he made the money a long time ago and was given a bad wrap on a lot of things.

I will say as far as I am concerned we are probably in good hands with either perry or mayhugh.

However, I dont think mayhugh will even run again anyway. Curtis would be too soft to play tough guy and eddie is doing his best but continues to struggle anyway.

I am the supposed drunk girlfriend that "Muhlenberg resident" is talking about. Apparently you DO NOT know the facts. First of all, I have not been in the cruiser because the rule is only special deputies can be passengers in the cruisers. Second of all, I am a nursing student going to school five days a week and working on top of that so I do not have time to get drunk. I do not know anyone who would question my reputation in this county other than people who do not know me, much like yourself. As far as the preacher getting angry because of his son getting laid off this is not true either. He was never laid off but you "know the facts" so you already know this. Since you work in law enforcement I would think that you would know what some little things called SLANDER, LIBEL, and DEFAMATION mean!

Curtis McGehee is a great man and would make a great sheriff. He does have experience not only as a special deputy but also as a real person doing good in the county.

You people must be smoking crack. KSP is to busy hiding behind their little handbook to make any drug arrest. By the time they make a drug arrest it has to go through 3 useless supervisors and I am sure methamphetamine is not even in their handbook. Eddies Posse seems to be the answer this county has been looking for for a long time. KSP in this county is to busy calling and texting under age girls to worry about drugs.
