Emma Melecio,
I'm afraid you're going to be ripped apart by "these people" when they start reading you're little note to James. It might have been better for you to send him a hand written letter of support, instead of this venue. Be prepared to defend yourself. Or better yet, try to delete your first post! Without being too judgemental, it seems your little family member had a little private lesson with this kid. Everything else you wrote might've been a little private for these boards.

Oh God, here we go again about Baldwin being ranked as one of the best places to live in America. The comments posted on Newsday about that topic heavily sided with the fact that Baldwin is a place to be avoided at ALL costs! Most of those responses came from Baldwinites, too!

We look forward to your quick return (You can count on the famous Sunday Evening feast at the Melecio's!) and we will pray daily. For all of these people on this website, "Thou shall not judge he who is judged against in the name of the lord". James' worst crime is that he got caught up with the wrong crowd. Our family has been begging him for years to move to be with the family in Baldwin...which was recently named "one of the 25 best places to live in America" by Money magazine.

Judging by this guy's picture, he may be the first person in his family to walk upright on 2 legs.

I have been a student in Excel Karate Academy for about five years of my life. I had never suspected that my own teacher would be a cruel rapist. I really want to find out which of my classmates was the victim of ths horrible crime.

Lets see he was charged with Second-degree criminal sexusl act, Second-degree sexual abuse I guess this makes him a Fourth Degree criminal Black Belt. This is very sad and will scare this child for the rest of his life. I just don't understand why the kid didn't use any kicks that he should have learned to keep Bonfiglio away a waste of money for the lessons.

So let me ask you this ... are you going to let him baby sit your kids when you have to go out for the day? If your answer is yes I will pray for your child.

Just to let you know, he has "babysat" my child! Was my child ever molested by Jimmy?, NO WAY. You can pray for me all you want, but until you meet Jimmy and get to know him, you'd realize that Jimmy is the MOST decent man you'll ever meet. When that day comes, you'll be praying for Jimmy to be acquited and realize that the charges are unjust.

Get a life and stop posting crap unless you knew what the hell you were talking about.

I have known this man for 14 years now and I have never encountered any indication that he was a pedophile. He was my instructor as a child and a mentor when I became an instructor at his previous school. There is NO WAY that this allegation is true. He is one of the best people that I have ever met and I trust him with my life.

People are disgusting and this is just one indication about how US society has crumbled. A man that can care about children and truly want to improve them as humans is now condemned with his life ruined. What are we teaching our children?

I am 23 and have known this man for 14 years. He is one of the nicest, most honorable men I have ever met. I have shared hotel rooms, been in his car, apartment and have been on many trips with him ever since I was about 12. He became more than just an instructor, he was family. He is a hero and an inspiration to many of us.

It's disgusting that people are so quick to condemn this man. He has dedicated his life to the martial arts and to his students. He has gone through a lot to get where he is. This accusation has not only hurt him but the many others that will have to do without a great mentor and friend. ItÂ’s disturbing that the media is allowed to go to his house, school, etc. and feed into this accusation.
