Yeah that area north of the railroad tracks also known as little Dominican republic with its many bodegas and laundromats nearby has been a known drug haven for years. I can assure you people standing in the doorways aren't standing there just to look cool they're pushing drugs to people walking down on the sidewalk. there's spotters all in front of those bodegas prostitution gambling you name it it's going on. Technically north of the tracks should be port Jefferson's problem, not Port Jefferson Station's. As for the Jane Boulevard/Terryville area, that part of town has been a dump for years. It was the old Genovese shopping center. That Sunoco is a known spot to deal drugs and pick up drugs. And the area south of Port Jeff train station also known as Port Jefferson Commons with the post office , well that's another shit hole. It should be cleaned up especially for the taxes that people pay to live in the area. Just my two cents.
