My son just bought a car there. Hopefully we have better luck than you did. We had the car a week and the blinker broke and they fixed it for nothing. I do have a question for you..was that you at Middle Country Motors Thurs telling us not to buy a car? If that wasn't you then there is another very unhappy consumer out there. I hope my son doesn't have bad luck with his car like you have. Sorry for your trouble..hope things work out for you.

Also, what was it that the warranty didn't cover. Because I was told it would basically cover everything

I gave a deposit on a car-then decided to lease a new one. They were no pressure and credited my credit card back with out a problem. If I ever buy a used car, it will be there

Middle Country Motors are a bunch of bullshit con-artists. I'm 24 and was buying the vehicle by myself, first time. They took total advantage of this. My Infiniti was on the lot for 9,000 dollars. They refused to tell my interest rate until they insisted I transferred my insurance policy over. I couldn't even get a monthly figure out of them. I desperately needed a new vehicle so I went along with it figured how bad could it really be. Man did I learn my lesson. On the day of the purchase, I realized that my monthly payment was 100 dollars over what was promised to me from "Dimitris". My father owns a Body Shop and came to review the vehicle. The tires were extremely worn and dry-rotted...it needed an alignment, brakes, rotors, and the oil was over-filled 3 quarts!! I was with my Mother at the time who then made a scene in front of other customers demanding they fix the issues. They hesitantly had new tires, brakes and an alignment done that day so that I would be satisfied. Or so I thought. Later to my knowledge, my father had informed me that in the condition the car was in, it would be almost IMPOSSIBLE to pass inspection. There was a brand new inspection sticker on the car. So they are illegally inspecting these cars! Beware of this. It could not have passed with worn tires and shot brakes. No one would pass that. Aside from these issues, I later found that they only put new brake pads on when the rotors were warped, and that the alignment was never done at all. I found this out by visiting the Mavis Tire Center since the car was riding funny and not braking properly. They claimed to have had the work done here. Mavis showed me receipt of the bill, and the manager informed me that he told them the rotors were shot, and he told me of their NOTORIOUS reputation to not pay their debts with local automotive mechanics. Wonderful. Either way it was hell trying to contact these people to try and meet me halfway for their half-assed repair. UNTIL THEY LOST MY PAPERWORK.'Keith' the little guy with the napoleon complex called me up, frantic. He was literally begging me to come down so that I could resign.

They don't get paid until the paperwork is through, so this I can understand. I had mentioned to him that I've been calling for a few weeks to get a squeaking noise checked out (all under the 1 month warranty through the dealer) and he proceeded to scream at me, telling me that putting brand new tires on the car was enough generosity and "what more could I ask of him?". A SOLID AUTOMOBILE. So I went down to the dealership and I gave them a piece of my mind. They are so unprofessional when it comes to any sort of bump in the way of them getting paid. I argued that I needed this squeaking belt fixed, for the inconvenience of having to come down and re-do my paperwork. He agreed. After leaving the dealership and reviewing the paperwork, I noticed I had BEEN OVERCHARGED 3,000 DOLLARS. Nothing I can do at this point, I signed on the dotted line unfortunately. Either way I went to their mechanic on Middle Country road, Tilden, who also had nothing but bad stories about these guys.(They don't pay their bills, they don't listen to mechanical advise and sell cars with obvious deficiencies, etc) Dimitris from MCM told them to only tighten the belt on my car. Sure enough, here I am 2 months later with a squeaking belt again. Today was a catastrophe. My Argument was that I complained about the belt problem well within my 30 day warranty and they band-aided it. They didn't fix it. Now that I'm out of the warranty, these con-artists are telling me it's my responsibility. The belts were shot to begin with. After a huge argument over the phone, I've decided to drop it, and get it fixed elsewhere on my dime. Screw them, I have money to fix my vehicle, this is out of principle. I will now be reporting them to the DMV and hopefully they'll get fined and if I'm lucky, they'll loose their license. As for future buyers, BEWARE! They are the classic used-car scumbags and will take advantage of people in these tough times.

THis guy from March 23rd hit the nail on the head! I need 4 new tires on the car, they listed the car with the wrong amount and they wanted me to eat the cost for their mistake. The blondie bimbo with the big boobs was giving me crap stating that they would give me new tires if I agree to the increase in the car amount and then proceeded to tell KEITH that my boyfriend was making rude jestures to her! They all need to get over themselves and do the right thing and not piss people off. you will eventually piss off the wrong person. Bimbo shouldnt be talking to customers like she does! get more bees with honey......

They were the same way with us, until they screwed up and thought we were going to eat their error. Then they turned into to different people. If i went to get my car inspected it would have never passed. There is miliage differences on everything.

My 17 year old son saved and bought his first car from Middle Country Motors. They told us to get this great warranty which will cover everything. My son didn't even put on 1,000 miles and the tranny went. I said "don't worry you have this great warranty" HA!! We got it with no deductible...again HA..They will only cover a portion of it, which will leave him with a $600 bill. We'll see where this goes.

First of even with the scamming, sneaky tactics I experienced I did get a good deal on the car ( only because i can fix it myself which saves a ton of money ) What i did not like was the lies , deception , pressure I got from this place . Example : if you trade in the car you own now ill give you X number of dollars for it But if you come back tomorrow Ill give you 500 less. They advertise on Craigs list a price but when you get there there is a $499 added charge for dealer prep and some crap . Of the 5 cars I test drove 4 wetre not even road worthy . thank heavens I have some mechanical background or i would have been in trouble.
I think any disgruntled customers should continuously post on Craigs list Long island that the place sucks If we all band together we can get the word out faster than they can flag it. just add a link to this site nothing else needs to be said !!!
Thank you for posting

Thank you for all the people who posted on here, I was about to check out MCM but I thought they were shady because their prices were so low. Then I read these posts and now I know they are definitely scam artists. They most likely buy crappy cars at auction or cars in need of repairs and then proceed to get the cars in sell-able condition, although there are still huge underlying problems. Again..thank you thank you thank you!

I am in shock reading what has been written in this forum about Middle Country Motors. I purchased a Toyota Corolla for my mother (74 years old) from this dealership and they treated me and my mom like gold. The saleswomen (I forgot her name, sorry) took the time to test drive her and go over all the options two or three times with her. My mom had a great experience. As for the fee of 499.00: there were signs posted all over the office explaining that too. A week after I bought her the Corolla, I purchased myself a new Toyota FourRunner from a dealership in Westbury and they has a similar fee on their buyers orders too.
Two weeks ago, I sent my neighbor to Middle Country Motors and he bought an Infiniti G35 for his daughter and he had a great experience too. This was only after a very bad experience he had with Sunrise Toyota a week prior to that.
People, do your research before buying a used car. Dont expect "new car quality" when you walk on to a used car lot. Do your homework and negotiate smart. These guys work hard and not all used car lots are devious. I personally valued my experience with Middle Country Motors and I would be afraid to send anyone I know to them, either.

Hey guys, i do that kind of stuff. Go to dealerships just to piss them off and so i can tell them off. I work security at riverhead raceway, you think i care what some stupid fags say? HA! Everyone that meets me is scared of me, so they better be too. I might go this sunday. So if your around and see a REALLY big guy with a beard and glasses, then that's me. I've been doing stuff like that since we bought my moms car in riverhead. Sexist pig thought he could take advantage of my mom until i dropped by. I'm turning 17 soon and ANYONE that disrespects my mother pays the price....so lets see if they say something, I'm defiantly the wrong person to piss off. Ohh and the name of the dealership i was talking about is that Ford/Lincoln/Mercury.The guys name is Craig, i got him down $2,000 cause he was afraid of me lol. So that's one more to watch out for..

i purchased a car from mcm and my experience was a grat one. i had been shopping around for a month trying to get a auto loan and a reliable car , i went to half a dozen stores and since i had bad credit in this economy i was treated like a criminal. i went to mcm were i met professional people who were the only ones that worked with me and got me a great car and a auto loan . i had a bad health experience that caused my credit to go south and they were the only ones that were willing to help. i say thanks to them and tell people to make your own decisions and visit them .after my experience at other stores they are really good guys give them are a try and judge for yourself.

To "xtremly happy": I guess it's a different experience for some people but for others not so pleasant. I'm glad they treated you with respect, If you had said otherwise i would have blown up on them. Let's see how my testing goes with them, if they show me disrespect then they only respected you because of the health reasons you were talking about. So i will let everyone know how it goes with them, if they disrespect me then they are just plain morons/dirt bags. But IF they respect me then their okay.
MCM warranty joke

the warranty you get with any car covers "break down " not wear and tear so dont think when you buy a lemon the warranty people will cover it . Even if they do it would be a small percentage of the cost . ask me how i know ???

The signs for $499 dollars are in the office but not posted on craigs list so you do not see them until I drove 75 miles from manhattan to look at my "dream car" Also look many pictures that they post on their web site are factory photos not actually the pics of the car you are looking at . I drove all the way from manhattan only to find a $499 added cost to my purchase then taxed on top of that 499 x %8.65 =$ 43 in tax too plus dealer prep fees licensing etc total added costs 750 !!!
