The fake profile was that of an alleged 19 year old woman...Where's the issue?

The issue might be the "any images that might have been exchanged" that that superintendent declined to comment, on advise of legal counsel. If you don't know the age of the person, regardless of the age portrayed, you shouldn't be exchanging explicit messeages or pictures. If you read between the lines it sounds like he might have sent nude photos to an underage person.

I feel sorry for the wife who has to put up with a jobless husband, a wishful cheater and the embarrassment.

I would not have resigned. I would not have said someone hacked my Facebook page. I would have said "hey, if there was illegal activity going on at a facebook page that matches my name.....contact the proper authorities...I have work to do....good day."

19 is legal. He did nothing wrong under any law. yea he was dumb but you can't fire a guy for this. Let his wife destroy is life.

Who is investigating the student to created the entrapment? There should be some punishment for that person -- expelled from school should fit nicely.

And the parents -- charge them with neglect since they allowed their delinquent to set up a teacher so effectively.

As others have stated, a 19-year-old is an adult. Let his wife deal with him. He should not have resigned.

Sounds like this guy was really set up by one of the students.

infidelity is no basis to fire someone. Hacked? multiple messages would have to insist that there was no "hack" other than this guy not satisifed with his wife.

Still, 19 is an adult. No crime there. If the person who made profile was impersonating, then that sounds like a crime to me.

Ask Bill Clinton, just because you cheat on your spouse doesn't mean you can't do your job. Personal life and Work life are different.

What exactly did he do to have to resign? He maybe a cheater but how is that the school's business, how was he to know it was a student?

I think the student should be expelled from that school district. I believe she did more wrong than the teacher. 19 is legal. What he did may be immoral, but it is not illegal.

1.) Prison break at 10 o'clock...pass it on.
2.) Loose lips sink ships.
3.) Earth girls are easy.
4.) Robert Stubbs is a rat fink.
5.) I'm pregnant...have you seen Robert Stubbs?
6.) I'm Robert Stubbs...any messages for me?
7.) Southwest Airlines..Robert Stubbs..when's your
next flight out of town?

What a shame. Sean was a teammate and roommate of mine at Muskingum (cross country/track). Never would have thought to hear about something like this with him. Even if he was not doing exactly what he's accused of, still seems he was doing stuff on facbook that was questionable. He's got a family and I hope things work out for him down the road.

Come on, he didn't resign over just this. He has many complaints about his conduct over the years and it finally caught up with him. There was no hacking and if the superintendent would do her job she would say there was no hacking. Accepting his resignation instead of firing his ass was the easy way out. Schools just let department of educ. do their job. The wife blamed the admin and board earlier this week. If he was innocent and had proof of hacking don't you think he would have been at the meetings showing proof? Why, because there was none. She even admitted he lied, but did't say what the lie was. What a bunch of crap when kids should be learning.

Why become a teacher these days if you can't sleep with your students, I always thought that was one of the perks?

okay, I'm not sure I see why he resigned. Yes, he is married so he certainly suffered a lack of judgement, but the woman he was supposedly corresponding with was 19, which makes her a legal adult. Yes, he was having an affair, but I'm not sure that's grounds for resigning/being fired

according to her profile she was 19, which isn't underage
