Old Clinton Road 931 & 957 Housing Project

The town wants to build a major housing project on Old Clinton Road. No consideration by the the Westbrook Planning Commission or the developer was given to the neighborhood impact that a 21 unit 3 bedroom project on 3 acres of land would have on this residential community. If the deal goes through the town gets $76K ...what is more disturbing is that this was a clandestine deal to modify existing zoning laws so the town could get incentive dollars. Please help stop this by signing the petition below!

Uh, Scott, Is it really ethical to use State of Connecticut resources to mail your spew (CT works Bridgeport)?
Old Clinton Road is populated largely by dumps! Half the properties should be knocked down. There is a small handful of decent housing on that road (4 of which were built by the developer himself). Anything that goes there would be a vast improvement to the entire road and property values IMPROVED.

From the petition site
"The project is too large for the lot. The Zone change is the only way this can fly, and it is based on a scam. The " affordable units" at almost 300 thousand may be based on a formula but is totally ludicris considering most homes in the neighborhood are valued at less."
So much for the argument that the project would devalue the existing gorgeous housing.
