Burns murder investigation continues

The murder of Stacey A. Burns on Mother's Day, May 10, remains unresolved, leaving many in her hometown of Wolfeboro uneasy, especially her North Main Street neighbors.

I feel the same way. I'm from Rochester and didn't know this poor woman, but something so blatantly horrific should be easy to solve unless it's a professional "hit" or a serial killer. I hope Wolfboro PD is getting state/federal help with this case. At the very least, they should be issuing statements to the public on a regular basis even if it's "we're working on it and know nothing".

I am very upset about this situation. I feel like it should be easy to solve. one they should discover how long she was dead for so that they know what time she was actually murdered at. Then they should look into the fact that their were 6 people in the house. and not one of them heard her scream? nothing? I just think this whole thing is scary. I dont like it one bit. They need to update us with some information. They dont have any hair samples, finger print, NOTHING? I just feel like they arnt doing absoulutely everything that they really can. Thats just how i feel. She was a great women and it is a tragedy that she is gone. its been too long and people need to realize that this is serious. There is probably a killer walking amoung us in the town of wolfeboro. Maybe theyll do it again? Maybe we should call the NYPD? I dont think they could help us though but something needs to be done.

I heard they closed a state highway for 3 hours,had over 20 officers from 3 agencies surround Staceys house on Monday.Press said no crime committed. Is withholding the truth from the public a crime? I heard from people close to this that a GUN was used and a threat was made, 5 kids live in that house!!!!!!!!

oh my goodness. I heard that ed burns was arrested. But then i saw in the newspaper that nothing had happened and that it was just a welfare check?

Teflon Ed go to jail? not in Wolfeboro, heck hes been driving all summer on a suspended license, Our only hope is Mass will put him away for OUI second,He got 13 days before the murder, Witch was 1 day before he was due in court for contempt, What ever happened to that? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

Just read the Quinn piece, this is a no brainer. Seven mo.Why are those children with that animal? Didnt Stacey have family?Someone needs to get Nancy Grace on this.Those kids are in real danger.

The part where he "entered her house at 4am,stood over her and yelled DEATH BEFORE DIVORCE"10 to 1 she died around 4am. one day before jr.was due in court on contempt charges,less than 2 weeks after his second oui.Did his family not see this downward spiral?Where was the intervention?Two plus years of drinking,cocaine,blowing thousands of dollars,with only one mission,get her back or kill her.Never saw it coming,give me a break nanna "B"

WHY can't Stacey's family get custody of the kids?? Is Nana "B" Eddie's mom and is she still sticking by his stories? Sorry to sound naive but this all seems so obvious?? Are the Wolfeboro PD protecting him?

I think its wise not to make ANY comments regarding Staceys Children being involved...The SP and DA are working this case, and any and all comments negative regarding her children should be kept to yourself....You know the ole expression regarding Assumptions!!! Especially now, this being the first Christmas without their Mommy...As family, I speak only for myself, and ask that comments regading her children be kept to yourself..
