Well they wont do that again, others should learn counties don't go for that gang assault stuff any more. 20 years is a long time. Remember that when your cruising around with your buddies looking for trouble. You may just find it.

JUSTICE SERVED, let's get animals like this off the street! I love how people who do wrong (speeding in this case) and get called on it can't take the criticism that they were WRONG.

I didn't know that a good defense for almost killing someone was that they yelled at you.

We should pay Mexico to incarcerate this trash. It would cost less.

Makes me think twice about yelling at a speeding car...you never know what crazies might be driving by.

Let them suffer. I only wish we could videotape this whole case and show it in every High School classroom. Children need to learn that there are consequences for their actions in this world.

That's "their" mentality. That's the way "they" live in "their" neighborhoods. This is why surrounding neighborhoods don't want "them" in their schools.

Prosecutors, who sought a minimum of 25 years to life against the trio, nonetheless praised the sentences.

The jury was "swayed" to overlook a lack of evidence what are you kidding me the guy has scars I am sure and documented medical records I am sure and his wife was there what other evidence do you need. Who cares what Mr Berkhout said to the defendants his where just words, but to viciously attack some one like those animals did and to hurt some one so bad like those animals did they definitely deserved what they got, I wish I was on the Jury I would have gave them life, Animals like that we don't need on the streets.

But he yelled with foul language....that should count for soemthing?

He didn't ask them to slow down, he yelled, so the juruy had to overlook the facts and found guilt with their heart...lol.

What a joke. While 20 to life would be better, at least these jerks iwll be off the street for a while.

All firefighters deserve recognition for their heroism on 9/11, especially those who survived. I knew many who did not. They do not deserve a near fatal beating for trying to make their neighborhood safer. Those idiots didn't get one iota of what the should have gotten. Mastic was always a hole, but that just proves it. I agree with "Justice," I hope they piss off Bubba in jail and see who gets what they deserve then!

Mutant skells! A middle aged man with his wife yells at a speeding car to slow down, and the 3 jerks in the car jump out and beat him almost to death? They deserve to be in prison, where they can show their new friends just how tough they really are.

I am very happy with what they got. They should have gotten life without parole. One thing I would like to say to the media, why do they have to give out addresses or street names where people that have been beaten, killed etc live. Some crazy people out there will try to get even. God forbid. Stop giving out addresses or names, more people would come forward to help if the damm media would stop this.
