<quoted text>what are you talking about? learn to read. the statement said that frank was involved from day one with lies to get a village; and that he takes other people's ideas as his own. it had nothing to do with maura.
Maybe I read this wrong....but this is what I was responding to:

"Are you so flippantly ignorant as to believe and suggest that was an original idea of the grey lady ?( no not the ny times ) The intelligence level of her followers is shining bright"

Notice the words GREY LADY and the pronoun HER being used to allude to gender.

Maura stated in her blog that she was a founding member of PCCA and she was there DURING the formation of the village. She better recant that lie because one of the members has all the meeting minutes and can prove otherwise.

Another story in Newsday today. This one confirms what everyone who is NOT an MBPOA member has stated. PRIVATE organizations are NOT eligible for FEMA funds.

The village applied for FEMA funds which will only be paid in the event the village is successful in the property deed lawsuit. Therefore, the shills from the MBPOA who have been saying the village is withholding funds have been stripped naked.

The article with fema and the hospital? You're so full of sh!t Brady. It doesn't talk about the POA. Private or public. You have no idea what cercumstances are involved with the funds that the village REFUSES to hand over. Keep defending Gary and your little band of thugs. It's obvious you are desperately and will cling to any tiny scrap of power you can hold on to. Times they are a changing. Gary's Goons (TM) will be gone soon.

oh Brady.....
"Village officials" said it, not anyone in the know or in actually power of the money. Your argument it useless. You make it sound like because of the POA, we are losing money. Not the case. Because the VILLAGE refuses to work with the POA and sued them is the reason we are not getting the money. If the lawsuit was dropped, case closed. MB gets the funding and the POA can fix their marinas. But I understand... You want all tax payers to spend their hard earned money on having the marinas repaired and maintained so a few of Gary's friends and family can have their boats at the "village marina". As a tax payer with no boats, why should my taxes go to fund and maintain a marina that I will never use? Over 4000 homes will need to pay for a few hundred of the elite friends of the village to have boat slips. I dont understand how any tax payer in MB isn't appalled by the villages decision to waste money on this lawsuit. And IF they get the marinas, why should my money be spent on maintaining them when I will never use them?????

I am taking about the article in today's Newsday. I don't know what hospital you are talking about. In the article, Jean SanMartin who is the current president of the MBPOA says the civic wants a settlement where the village owns the property but let's the MBPOA retain rights to them.

But, unfortunately, her lack of business knowledge is demonstrated when she said
perhaps we (MBPOA) can lease the land to the village, allowing the Village to pay the costs, while letting the MBPOA retain rights to use...

Lessor is the beneficial owner
Lessee is the one granted the right to use

MBPOA would not be able to lease the property, the village would be able to grant a concession.

This, by the way, was something I proposed before the suit became public (village let MBPOA operate for benefit of all MBV residents). The idea was immediately poo pooed by the MBPOA, but now looks better than the likely outcome.

Mayor Bill B said HIMSELF that FEMA gave 400,000 dollars for the repair of the two marinas but he refuses to hand the money over.(HE keeps stating that the POA can't get the money, no one else) Looks like the POA were right all along, Billy boy himself said he is withholding the money from them to repair the marinas.

And I like how Gail said "we can't developer (in wetlands) because of 'zoning restraints'". Wasn't it GAIL and BOB that approved the re-zoning for their buddy to build a garage on Neighborhood road? I really don't think "zoning restrictions" are an issue in MBV any more. As we have seen time and again, the elite 5 can re-zone anything they want.

As a tax pay, I'm appalled at the village and this type of fighting and wasteful spending for marinas that only a handful of selected few will be able to use. And if the village doesn't want to develops the land, why fight so hard to get it? If it's going to remain the same as it is now, why not just leave it? Where's THAT answer Mr. Mayor?

First the money was not given to anyone.; FEMA will not release until the case is decided. And then Martin Altman a recovery consultant said even if the MBPOA wins in court it would not be eligible for that funding.
Second Gail and Bob DID NOT vote in favor of the garages on Neighborhood Rd.

Thank you. I, too, noticed Ms. San Martin has it backwards. What is this business Maura is quoted as saying that the village is fighting a $4000 DEC fine? Really?

Who do you suppose called Newsday to try to get an article written which supports the current MBPOA candidates? Unfortunately, the scheme backfired! The story illustrated the fact that FEMA does not authorize grants to private institutions. Also, it debunked the lie that the village is withholding funds belonging to MBPOA. The village is not in possession of any funds belonging to the MBPOA.

Also, I don't know about the village being hit with a $4,000 fine, but I know for a fact MBPOA paid DEC a fine of $7,500 in 2006 for illegal dock construction. Co-incidentally, 2006 was the start of the MBPOA financial downfall. Cash went from over $200,000 in 2006 to about $27,000 by end of 2012.

As a 501c4 how about showing everyone your books - I have heard that you manipulated 1099s and filed false statements to the courts - all the "get back to normal" which by MBPOA standards is keeping non-members off the waterfront, using all monies too help THE MBPOA ONLY. The lies stop here - the MBPOA (aka Maura's world) has allowed our community to spiral downward for decades - it is time they simply went away. We can not let 25 mindless idiots hold our waterfront hostage with lies and misinformation. i see you glossed over the real issue. If the village DOESNT want to developer the waterfront and leave it the way it is, why are they fighting so hard and wasting my tax dollars to get the waterfront?
Just to get the marinas?
Why should my tax dollars be spent to repair, maintain and run a marina for the selected few who will be giving the slips?
Over 4000 households spend taxes so a few hundred can get slips.
Sorry, but this goes beyond that. The village wants the POA to be bankrupt so they can take their property. This has always been the reason behind the incorporation of a village. And the only reason.

How can the village be responsible for the downgrade of the MBPOA finances? The MBPOA ran losses of ($81,883) in 2007,($29,684) in 2008, and ($59,280) in 2009. Clearly, these periods were before the village even existed. So, in 3 years they lost ($170,847). They are currently running on spare change.

The village has about 5,200 residences, not 4,000. The argument that you gave about why the village shouldn't take over the docks, since YOU don't have a boat, is ineffective. You could also argue you shouldn't pay for ambulance or fire department since you have not used their services either. And, I hope you never do.
