Our government is totally for the people. Some misled people don't seem to be able to see that, because they're obsessing over imaginary marina takeovers and thousands of volunteers and such. But the sane know that this government is working for them. Which group are you in?

sothe village isn't trying to take over the MBPOA marinas? It's "imaginary"? Wow. The lawsuit seems real. So which group do you belong to, the REAL one or the imaginary one? Stop with the lies, it's pathetic at this point.

I never lie. The Village is not trying to take over the marinas.
The MBPOA is refusing to return to the public that which is legally theirs. There's a difference.

The deed is clear, the marinas and the entire waterfront should have been turned over to the village as soon as a village was formed. Anyone that can read knows that, but the MBPOA refuses to do what is right and therefore the village was forced to sue to obtain what already belongs to the residents of the village. Too many people have been denied the right to enjoy the waterfront for way too long. The MBPOA has acted as if they were a private country club for years, keeping the best part of Mastic Beach for the select few, hopefully the judge will rule very soon in favor of all the residents of Mastic Beach and we can put this behind us.

Before the village inception we had 21 sex offenders. Now we have 60.Hey Brojer your doing a great job on cleaning out the village. Just look at all the for sale signs by owner occupied homes. Gee that's great for the village. Now you will get more rental permit fees as the owner occupied home owners keep dwindling and no new home seekers will refill them. Actually who would want to live in the slums. Great job village.

first off, there are currently 208 houses for sale per MLS, which is almost the same number as 3 years ago. Perhaps, some are trying to sell their flood damaged but cosmetically fixed without permits POS. and per city-data website, the following is listed:
"According to our research of New York and other state lists there were 15 registered sex offenders living in zip code 11951 (Mastic Beach, NY) as of June 16, 2013.

Read more: http://www.city-data.com/soz/soz-11951.html#i... ;

If you found the number 60, perhaps it includes Mastic, and Shirley which are also in WF school district.

And finally, I have a database of all MBV home sales in the last two years where I could just look to see which ones had a STAR reduction indicating owner occupied. I don't think your facts will hold up.

Please look at the map view of the list of offenders from the site from which you derived your "facts". They display 51 offenders, but Shirley and Mastic are included. Just click the link.

Brady--This time I am going to make you eat your words, Go on Google then type in "family watchdog.com ".It will take you to an opening page. Now type in your address then it will take you to a following page that you think shows no map but scroll down and at the bottom of the page it will show you all. It states there are now 58 mapped sex offenders and 13 more unmapped ones so Brady we do not have 58 we have 71 sex offenders in our area .Love your officials now Brady when 2 1/2 years ago just before the village there was 60% less offenders then present. Keep the rentals coming in for your $350 fees. The board is a disgrace to our village and our residents.

I would say you are right, if you were, but I stand by my original post. I put my address in and it is showing 31, and if you go to the actual offender list, there are some from Shirley and Mastic. Even the william floyd website disagrees with your count. Yes, I do think very highly of every one of them.

Also, as another astute poster mentioned, several are duplicated under their many aliases. Try 321 neighborhood rd, handy pantry address. You get 51. Then go to offender addresses, you will see William floyd pky, roneck, grove st, etc. this is because the mapping software uses a 5 mile radius.

before the village vote, you all were saying how MB was loaded with sex offenders and this why we needed a village. Now that we are a village and they can't force the sex offenders to leave, you all Say that we don't have that many. What a bunch of lying hypocrites you are.

And the village cant do ONE DAMN THING ABOUT IT!!! So why was that the rally call of the MBVEC on why we needed to become a village? There is MORE sex offenders now as a village then there was BEFORE we were a village.
Blame who ever you want. In America we blame the GOVERNMENT for things like these, not local civic groups!

In America we blame the individuals who are responsible. Slumlords, civics, is there a connection here? Is there someone calling the kettle "black?"
