Wow. Finally, all of the residents will get a chance to see the great job our village is doing.

Snow removal and the vital role Gary Stiriz played during the storm, demolishing blighted homes and building new ones. Our own 911 Memorial thanks to Trustee Cappiello, Trustee Candidate Nick Busa and resident Bob Wilson. Also, info and really helpful information about raising your homes if your in the flood zone.

There's a story about the village court and how Nick Busa works so hard to help run it. A letter from Mayor Biondi urging residents to get out and vote and thanking the entire village team for all their hard work and dedication.

Lastly, there's great news about the $500,000 grant we received for constructing a sewer system on Neighborhood Road. Thanks to Gary Stiriz and Mayor Biondi for their work getting the grant!

Our Village Board is doing a tremendous job for the residents!

I just read the newsletter. The person that started this thread is spot-on. I can't believe how many different things the village is working on.

All I can say is thank goodness we have a village.

The Hamlets of Mastic and Shirley also received $500,000 each in funding. It had absolutely nothing to do with the Village. We would have received the money even if we were still a Hamlet. I like how they are sending out a publicity "newsletter" right before the election but couldn't be bothered sending out one letter in the months after the storm. How well is Busa doing with the courts if we only had 15 desk appearance tickets last month . I notice the newsletter doesn't mention the fact that we now have "TWICE" as many government subsidized rental homes as we did before we became a village. Great job MBVEC and the vision team. And that is according to the Village Administrator Tim Brojer. Nice!

They have demolished two homes. The TOB demolished 3 homes in less time once we finally got rid of all the crooked republicans that spent 40 years ruining Mastic Beach. Now we have the same crooked Republicans ruining Mastic Beach. Gary owns a sh!tty house on Cranberry and didn't get any permits for the work he did at his Marina or his his home. He pays taxes for an empty lot where he stores boats, hires his family no bid contracts. The BS goes on and on and on and on...

We have just as many sex offenders and according to Tim Brojer we have more than doubled the amount of government subsidized rentals since we became a village. Yes they are doing fabulous. More Goofy Grape Kool-aid please. Yummy!

Soooooo NOT true. MBV specifically got $500,000, while $1.3 million was awarded toward the construction of a sewage treatment plant at Brookhaven Calabro Airport in Shirley.

Mastic.....nothing.

The number of rental homes has not gone up, the number of rental homes that are no longer illegal has gone DOWN. Funny thing what you are trying to do. Maybe if you left your gated compound once in a while you would do something to help, rather than try to get your Republican rejects to take over.

I know they're doing a great job, but before the whinny crowd starts posting on this topic, let's get this out of the way.

No Carol isn't mentioned in the newsletter very much. The reason would be that she hasn't done anything. She doesn't introduce resolutions, she doesn't attend any meetings with FEMA, the County, the State, nothing.

She was missing for two months before and after Sandy, she has not pitched in on any projects or work and all she does is criticize anything and everything.

She really needs to go and the last thing we need is Summa taking her place.

Vote for Mayor Bill, Gary Stiriz and Nick Busa. They'll continue all the good work the village is doing.

Vote Row B, Vote for all three!

The 500k the village got is to build a sewer system. The other million and change is to continue studying the possibility for a sewer system, most of which is for Montauk Hwy.

Carol, please get your facts straight. You know, if you would attend a few meetings you might know what's going on.

We have 1 poster from Mastic using 5 names on this thread.Use the same post name or get lost.We all know your intent is to sway everyone elses opinions by the readers thinking its a groups opinion because it is not..Well here is mine I am not going to say that the trustees jobs are easy and puts there lifes on hold because it does.Gary has failed us badly with bill coming in 2nd place and gail 3rd place.Bob I have no opionion or except he has to start taking a more aggressive position in the village and become independent of the ideas set forth by Gary and the follower Bill who should be the leading force in the village.Yes lately he is trying to be the leader but in my opinion is to late.Gary wants everybody who lives in the village to conform to his ideological ideas but he is exempt from all. Here where Bill failed for the last 2 years as he did not put the restraint on Stiriz to end his self enrichment tactics.Basically he is using them along with us and does it with charm.I see right through the deception.Lastly Carol who is a very smart woman with a past history of council experience who is not part of there click. It is apparant that Gary and Bill do not like Carol because she does not like the way the duo is running the village and refuses to be a follower of there clan. You try to be part of that group that does not acknowledge your existence there.Yes you are right it does get a little frustrating.Did I not hit the vision of the staff.I did and it is right on the money.Save your seat for me Gail for next years election and then you will start to see what turmoil will be if the laws are not rearranged to enhance the quality of life and everyones input and participation in making up the laws of the village that they not you envisioned.

isn't it funny that they voted to stop the newsletter at the last work session, and low and behold one week before the election poof a newletter appears. it is a back handed way of using public money to pay for a private election campaign. why else would the stories be about all of the trustees and the trustee candidate that the "visionaries" want. why is there no mention of how great it was that the democratic process worked in getting them to rescind 4 year term limits. why isn't the fact that according to the highway department head over HALF of the homes in mastic beach are rentals, but only 1400 have permits?

it sounds fishy to me. there is no mention of the people that are still waiting to rebuild their homes or that the permit process has been lengthened nor shortened.

i say everyone rise up and protest this blatant political message being paid for with our money.

it is unethical and just short of illegal (just like everything else that they do)

So, the village is now spending my tax dollars on election propaganda for Gary Bill and Nick? WTF? We get to hear what Nick is doing but not ONE fing word about Carol? Real nice! Glad they know how to waste my tax dollars on promoting themselves right before the election. I guess one idiot posting from "mastic" bought their BULL SH!T. What else would we expect from someone worried about losing his cushy Village job?

Vote the idiot out, reelect Carol and write in Bruce Summa below for TRUSTEE!

i can't believe how wrong you are on all these issues? Are you mental? Carol doesn't live in a Gated community moron. Oh, you must be worried about losing your job in the village. So, are you a Stiritz or a Gross? Either way, the days are counting down, steal as many office supplies as you can now because on Wed. You won't be able to.

No mention of Gary's house and if they will be tearing it down. It's located at 106 cranberry below elm. Go take a look and see what you can get away with if you are in or friends with the deputy mayor. What an eye opener on how corrupt village hall is.

half a million to build a sewer system? Are you drunk? A sewer system down here will cost 10million plus! We get it, your voting for 3 of the worse things to happen to MB since Frank F Zany Z and Gary S.(Gary gets mentioned twice because he sucks twice as much)

First, your investigative skills are amazing. So you've narrowed down the posters on this thread and discovered one person has posted under several names. Well, let me say this; if I had a nickel for every person who posts under multiple names on topix, I would be cruising in the Bahamas on my own yacht.

Unfortunately, if you think so highly of Carol, your objective political judgement of others is highly questionable. Your comments about her make me believe you may possibly be the president of her fan club.

Also, with all your apparent insider knowledge of the Board's dynamics regarding Carol and the utter misunderstanding you have about them, it begs to question:

1. Who's feeding you all this misinformation?

and/or

2. Just how many village meetings and work sessions have you attended in the past year? My guess is not many.

3. Just for the record- Carol's tenure with the TOB was an example of how to fail miserably in politics.

If Carol is someone you consider a mentor when it comes to politics, I would not be so quick to predict you will be taking over anyone's position on the Village Board, especially Gail's seat.

But hey, since your so sure about your future plans and how successful they'll be, why don't you reveal your real name and announce your candidacy for trustee in your next post.

I can't wait for next year's meet the candidates events so I can ask you questions. Well, that is unless your going to follow Carol's election plan and not show up.

Too bad I didn't have the hours to sit around listing all of Gary corrupt deals and lies. I mean, WOW have there been many! If you like the BS, like the posters on here that work for Gary, then vote for him. If you are sick of no bid contracts and hypocrites, vote for Carol and Bruce, Plan and simple.
