These are insane rants. Fear, NO. Pissed, NO. I don't care what Bruce does with his house, and wish him nothing bad. What the heck are you talking about? You're nuts. Really bizarre.
first off, responding to Brady, not you. HE'S the one that has issues with bruce and his house. apparently bruce getting his house lifted really pissed off the village. why else would they send someone from code enforcement out at 1 pm on a saturday to inform him that work cantbe performed after 6 pm? has anyone ever been asked to stop cutting their grass after 6 pm on a saturday? has anyone ever been asked by code
Enforcement to not use power tools on a sunday? NO!
yet bruce was! guess the village doesnt like looking like fools.
Second, the village WILL be pissed by the end of this week! Just wait, it will be hilarious!

We both know that the process server. You know. The guy in the white pickup. Is going to be the new fire marshal. I know. Just as silly as Bruce applying.
By the way. I was wondering why we need a process server. Is it that our code enforces aren't certified yet and cannot write summonses?

Why doesn't Bruce have sediment mitigation measures around his construction site ? One good rain and his front yard is going to be in the bay ! Thanks for caring about the bay, Bruce.

Interesting subject to bring up: Whether the use of "power tools" is permissible on weekends. This is something that should be openly discussed at a Village meeting. There are Villages that do have these kinds of restrictions on "certain activities" such as large construction, on weekends. Hours are restricted during the week, which DID exist under Brookhaven Town, although hardly enforced. Using a power drill may be one thing, using a backhoe, another. This should be discussed? Or maybe we should all become familiar with our Village Code by reading it. Just because Brookhaven didn't enforce anything doesn't mean the laws didn't exist. In fact, because Brookhaven ignored everything, Mastic Beach ended up in poor shape with the quality of life issues that now have to be addressed. Best for Villagers to read the Code, ask questions of the Board. I don't know the circumstances for Bruce, but if he was having major construction done on a weekend, this may be why?

It is obvious all the anti village posters are truthful, honest and sensitive. While village supporters are all ignorant, knuckle draggers who blindly drink cool aid. I am being sarcastic, but I think it's time to just let the ones who know everything prove it.

Please do not shout out to me, and that goes double for you Evan Politico.

Plain as day, just drive by the'site',which I do, twice a day at least in my daily excursions that have nothing to do with Bruce in particular.Anyway, he should have a barrier to water driven and wind driven sediment movement off-site and seeing proximity to the bay, this is important. He just doesn't care, plain as day....

I know I don't like it when I've worked all week and my neighbor then starts mowing his lawn and banging around at 6AM Saturday morning. Not cool.

So if your noticing his. exactly how many houses do have a barrier to water driven and wind driven sediment movement off-site?
Or is it just the one house in the area?

he's not a bully that likes to boss people around so I don't think so. Maybe you could ask him on one of your many trips by his new house.

Stirits marina dumps more garbage, gas and other pollutants in the bay then one house does. Good effort, but try again.

im all for enforcement of the codes. It's SELECTIVE enforcement I have a problem with. There was construction going on all around that week end, large and small, but yet one individual was selected for enforcement.
It's called ABUSE OF POWER.
enforce it for all or none. There is no middle ground with government. I hope the village realizes this soon.

I agree with you. It should be consistent. We all need to be informed of code and laws, too, before we start a project. It would be best if we all were on the same page. No surprises.

The people that are irate about the Village are those that are involved in, or benefit from, the rentals. That includes Bruce, which explains his behavior.

Don't go profiling me. I'm not a landlord. I voted no for the village. Now that we have it I just want to see it run honest and will post my opinion. I also e-mail the village when I'm not happy with something. So your post is not "interesting" at all.
