Really Brady Really look up the meaning of the word landslide dummy. Pay attention Dummy The lowest amount of votes went to your pals the incumbents. Ya with me so far. gees did you get distracted. pay attention Dummy. Now the next highest number of votes went to wacky Frank & wacky Paul.(A higher number means the more votes ok)Now the most votes were received by Maura and Bruce. They alone received double the votes of the incumbents that by definition is a landslide. Now Dummy pay very close attention. a land slide is not based on the number of registered voters,it is based on the number of registered voters who actually vote Dummy. Babs It was a referendum on a failed government. as you were told before the vote. The people who live here hate the past government Dummy. Those who voted proved it. Dummy. You did ride on the short bus to school didn't you, maybe I was your driver.
Just so I get something clear, would you rather I try to give your friends a chance, or would you want me to address them in the same nasty manner as you?

I didn't say the candidates did not won by a landslide, I said there was no landslide of voters! Take the stick out of your a$$ and stop trying to dissect every word being written. Can we assume you will be the next new hire at the new, improved village? Does the village need a dog groomer?

I congratulate the winners, Maura and Bruce. The voters have spoken and it is now time to move on and try to work together and stop the hate!! I do have one question though, what is Maura going to do when the issue of the lawsuit between the MBPOA and the Village comes up? Is she going to step back and recuse herself because she has a conflict of interest or will she do her job as trustee and side with the Village? This should be very interesting.
This is very important. Definitely a conflict of interest there. Maybe she'll step down from the MBPOA board? That would make a statement to all that she intends to work for all, and not just the MBPOA interests. I believe the people will regret the decision they have made, unless their goal is to dissolve. In the meantime, hold them accountable for all the promises they made. They are not going to be able to hold up to their promises. Who will they blame then?
I expect them to end corruption, nepotism and cronyism, if there is any.
I expect them to correct "problem" homes, who knows how?
I expect them to have the potholes filled in, the storm drains pumped regularly, the litter all picked up, and the dumping stopped.
I expect them to include the people, revitalize our downtowns, and create a positive image of Mastic Beach.
I expect them to restore basic services, although I'm mystified at what we are missing?
These are their promises.
And I expect it all done without raising our taxes.
Can they do it?

i bet they can as long as the other 3 work well with them. Remember, they need THREE votes to accomplish anything. If the current leaders vote against everything they do or say, then they can blame the other three for holding back progress. And as YOU all like to point out for the past FOUR YEAR! "Give them time!"

Then I think it would be a good thing if the neighborhood rallies around the whole board to see it through. Support will be needed. Demand excellence, nothing less.

Because in his ego driven wisdom Frank ran against Gail and Bob - splitting the village supporter vote - add both vote counts and the actual split was small. I admit they still lost and congratulate the new horizon team but not by much - No need too be such a patronizing idiot.
but you are not factoring in that there were alot of people who came out to vote solely because paul was running. people who don't usually vote in village elections. Also, a number of paul's supporters were Maura's supporters before paul got into the race. I don't think it would have been close at all. In fact, I think that they would have won by a wider margin because people clearly are not happy with the ways things are.

they can vote for all of those things, and they can let the residents know what is going on. if you want real change you should go to village meetings and let your voices be heard; not just on facebook or here. now that there are people on the board willing to listen, it would be worth a shot to go back to meetings.

I beleive that together we can do all those things except the last. I think taxes are going up when we start paving roads. It dosn't matter who's in office. That tax netural was a promise that Paul and his crew made. We have not paved one road yet Why? Do they not need paving? No--it's because they're still clinging to stay tax netural. It can only last so long

I think that once things are being done correctly people will see that the only way they have stayed "tax neutral" is by ticketing and fining the good residents of mastic beach. If they stop doing that, there will

a: be a tax increase
or
b: people will realize that mastic beach cannot survive as a village without ticketing and fining everyone, and the dissolution process will begin.

I think you are starting your 2015 mayoral campaign too early. By this last comment, you have shown a complete lack of respect for a dedicated Trustee and a village VOLUNTEER, his wife Rae. Two people who do nothing but give their precious time and talents to get the MBV court system up and running. Shame on you.

totally agreed. Eventually we need to fix our roads and that is going to cost a fortune. Taxes will go up.
What's going to happen is we put in new roads, taxes go up, then we put in sewers and need to dig up roads. Then we put in new roads again. It won't matter who's in office, taxes will skyrocket! There's your 800 to 2000 dollars tax raise. Dissolve before that and the cost gets filtered back to the TOB. Or deal with the tax raise. Or continue to drive around on roads that look like every other village in America because no one the tax raise.

Go ahead, get started with your dissolution process. You were so giddy with the election results you probably pissed yourself. But, now that you see the handwriting on the wall, you realize the winners really lost. Now they will have to prove themselves. They will have to uncover all the alledged evil doings. And, on June 1st, they can get ready for Hurricane season. I do not envy them.

They will become targets of your bile filled posts.

thats not at all what I wrote or believe. Your problem Babs is YOU NEVER READ!!!!
We WILL need to repair our roads. It doesn't matter WHO is trustee at the time. Taxes WILL go up. There is the 800 to 2000 dollar tax increase when that happens. Just like the people who GAVE US THE FACTS said it would. Get you head out of ye arse Babs. I left you alone until you had to make an arse out of yourself once again.
The winners did not "lose". The resident WON because we got rid of the closed door government.
We have 3 choices when it comes to out roads....
1 do nothing like we have been and watch them go to hell.
2 fix them properly and watch our taxes rise.
3 dissolve and let the TOB do it.
That doesn't mean I want to dissolve. Learn to read Babs.

So when you wrote, get started with your dissolution process, you meant for me to do it. Sorry, I don't work for you.

Have you seen all the bad roads Brookhaven has? They are not paving very much unless it is a Losquadro election year anyway!

I don't think you noticed I have not been the least bit insulting towards them since they were elected. All I said was they better get ready to dig in because they don't have as easy a job as they think.

I would be able to get the dissolution done if I thought that was the right thing to do. But, it is not the right time. You never say which trustee you are speaking for, I speak only for myself.
