the people who took this away were 4 disgruntled residents who didn't want to pay the $15.00 per year membership fee in 1950 something. again a small minority of people ruin things for everyone. does this sound familiar to you?

While you are holding your inquisition, why not ask the MBPOA what they are doing with the beer sales receipts from the music by the bay. Hope you had an honest person collecting the money! You are crass, nasty, and disgusting. Your hatred of Gary is evident. Declining membership, declining revenues, lack of internal controls are all red flags for potential impropriety. You are the pot (pun intended) calling the kettle black. At least you dropped your stupid magic bus comment!

Just for fun, who is next?

as usual, you feel the need to bash the mbpoa. as usual more unsubstantiated allegations and rumors. I was collecting the money. i don't know anything about a magic bus, but i do know that all of the hatred and animosity is keeping mastic beach from reaching it's potential. this needs to stop. i went to the seafest. i paid my five dollars. there were many good vendors. it wasn't really crowded when i was there but it was nice. i supported this event because i live in mastic beach and i will attend events that are for the betterment of our community. i noticed that none of the cultural arts people attended my event, but i will chalk it up to being tired after their own. PEACE to all.

first off dummy It's not me with the Magic Bus,and I like many residents hate the former halfassed Mayor Gary Dep a dee Dog Stariz has been the biggest road block in the way of susses for the village. And yes his posse of nit wits in his failed art club think he is wonderful. But they can never tell you one thing he has done for the village.Except shoot is big stupid moth off about what is going to do in the future, which never gets done., His big mouth if you had not noticed has been very quiet lately. And the Seafest, and Frightfest that is where he drops his draws.and Crapfest, and Clusterf**kfest, and Piratefest,Trollyfest, and Mote&boatelfest all were failures. But in just 7 months he will have his first Fest success with the very popular. Out the Doorfest

I think there is plenty of blame on both sides, the MBPOA and the Village. Both groups, while they mean well, are so full of hate for the other one that they have lost their focus. They all need to grow up and start acting like responsible adults who can work out their differences for the betterment of the community. In the meantime, the community suffers and that is the fault of both groups.

drop the lawsuit. The "village" should NOT be in the marina business.
Focus on code enforcement like the MBVEC promised they would and leave the waterfront alone. Done. No more wasted tax payer/members money going to lawyers. But the village WONT do that because they want to developer the wetlands and waterfront. Why else would the Village not agree to leave all the land classified as "parkland"?
And do you really think that the founders would start the POA with the sole purpose to save the shore line as it is, only to give it over to a village that would then develope it??? NO! If the village won't agree to leave it alone, they don't deserve to have it. This is bigger than Frank getting his stick dock back, this is about NOT DEVELOPING THE WATERFRONT.

Look at the "waterfront". Mostly the strip now in stewardship by MBPOA. That is NOT DEVELOPABLE. EVER.
So exactly what IS "the waterfront"?
Calabro group owns the northeast side of Pattersquash. They can and plan on building there. Privately owned land. Unless you favor Gubmint "Eminint Domain"?
What else is there left to build on?
Suffolk County owns most of the remaining lots. Again "Parkland".
So what exactly IS "the waterfront"?

MBPOA marinas in very bad state and getting worse. Don't blame the village.

I went to the SeaFest, had a good time, spoke to the Historical Society for 20 minutes and learned a lot, and also spoke with the Bay guy- about how we're polluting the heck out of the bay there.
He's got a lot of good ideas, but they all cost money - like actually getting freakin' sewers.

well, it's still like that. For 35 dollars, any RESIDENT can be a POA member which Includes beach access(which anyone can use even if they aren't a member), parking rights, launching rights etc. all for 35 dollars. If you want a dock, it costs extra. Wow. A whole measly 35 dollars and you get all that. What exactly is everyone's problem with the 35 dollars fee? Bunch of cheep a$$es. Do you think the village will give you any of that for free? NO! We'll ALL pay for the marinas with our taxes, then have to pay extra for using the docks and ramps and parking. Wake up people, nothing in this village is free. At least with the POA, if you don't want to belong, you don't pay. With the village, you pay even if you don't want to belong with your taxes.

Well, that would be the two large acres owned by Gary Stiritz by his marina that he has been trying to develop for years. Geee, why did HE want to get the village up and running and get on the board? I'm sure it had NOTHING to do with his re-zoning of his land to continue illegally storing his boats in the wetlands. NAWWW, couldn't be that!

Just a quick observation...two of the most vocal opponents of the enhanced security cameras are very worried their children's faces may be seen by someone lurking in a dark room at village hall is just another attempt to slander village officials labeling them potential pedofiles. Maybe these two posters should consider removing their kids faces from their own social media accounts.

Coastal flooding is a major concern, so is personal security. 2 recent events should concern you...the attempted abduction of a teenage girl and another incident where 4 guys in a pickup attempted to steal a package off a front porch. Both incidents could have revealed the drivers of the vehicles used to perpetuate these crimes.

A) so acording to you, if a person post pictures of their kids that they have control over, they should just deal with the fact that someone should be able to spy on them? Do you also blame the woman when she gets raped because 'she was asking for it by wearing a short dress'? You're an idiot Brady.
B) no amount of cameras will stop crime. Cameras will not stop people from taking someone else's property. Those cameras are for spying on residents, plain and simple. Here's an idea. All you residents that want a camera facing your house so you can perform for your village officials, sign up to have one placed in front of your house. If someone doesn't want one, DONT PLACE IT BY THEIR HOUSE! If one goes up by my house, it's getting smashed a day later. When the village replaces it at the tax payers exspense, it will get smashed again. Again, you're an idiot.

Really Brady?

Wasnt it you helping VodkaVick with concocted false statements about a village resident who was never even arrested for sex abuse of children, but had even gone to the point fabricating lies how this resident had agreed to plead guilty to being a child molester and taking an 8 year prison sentence?
