Flowers on Neighborhood Rd

I don't know who is responsible for the new plants hanging from the lights on Neighborhood Rd. Driving thru the Village this afternoon they are all drooping. If they aren't watered soon and every day they are going to be dead by the end of the week and they will just look lovely.

Come on Village DPW workers can't you water them? As they are drooping they are making our Village look like a slum. I certainly hope my tax dollars didn't pay for them.
Not going to happen

They could look nice. The village could ask the MBPOA for the watering container that they used to use for FREE when they put up the flowers and flags. It WAS done by volunteers at no charge to the tax payers. One more free service gone that the tax payers get to pick up.
They do look nice, but the village fell short again.

If the MBPOA has the ability to water these plats why don't they just water them and show the Village that they are 1 better. Instead of letting the plants die.

i don't know. i believe, but not sure, the village can't allow them. if someone is hurt while watering plants for the village and not a village employee......well, suing happens. better to let the village do it now.
anyone want to volunteer?

Maura stated at the last village meeting that the MBPOA was going to give their watering cart to the village for watering the flowers.

Check with her on this.

not wanting to kill any flowers, but look at it from The MBPOA's view. Would you help out someone that was suing you?
I don't think Maura is a director any more so she can't speak for them.
This seems like one more instance where the village spends money without thinking ahead. They do that a lot.

they borrowed the water truck. it is alot of work to water those flowers even with the truck. hopefully it will rain tonight and those poor flowers will not die. oh, and by the way, they are nice flowers, but for next time, they need to be bigger baskets, they look very small on the poles. i guess they looked big enough on the ground, but now that they are up on the poles, they don't make much of a statement. not complaining, just an observation for next year.

I guess that goes to show out of the two groups which one can rise above all the BS and do the right thing. Loaning equipment to the very people suing you. Wow, that's class.
Nice job MBPOA.

ok. Yes, the village is responsible. But as always, they never think ahead and spend money without thinking their decisions through. So like the good residents of MB that they are, the MBPOA lent them their watering truck. Even though the village IS SUING THEM!
So to answer your question....the village is responsible but the MBPOA had to fix their mess.
Like always.
And naturally Brady's racist white trash comments had to be included because she can't stand to be left out.

wow, there is some serious nastiness here. and, by the way, i saw 2 village employees with the water truck yesterday on neighborhood road. i assume they were watering the plants. i don't think anyone had to fix anybody else's mess. i think that sometimes the right thing to do is simply the right thing to do.

where did the village get the water truck from? Which goes to show they weren't prepared as usual because it did not occur that the plants might need some water.
