Someone told me they read that Maura says we will have a lot higher taxes as a Village. It's the same Bull she tried force feeding everyone when she and the MBPOA opposed the Village formation. Remember, when they used member money to fund the Article 78.

remember when the MBVEC lied to everyone to get a village voted in? Guess what? The voters have spoken, they wanted Maura. Deal with it.

Maura misled the voters. She claimed to be pro-village and wanted to make it work better. Suddenly, her and her minions are talking about dissolution and higher taxes.

The trustees already know the taxes must go up to support a HWY Dept. Just ask them and read between the lies.....I ment lines sorry

maura is an elected official now. get over it. it is not maura's fault that mbvec lied to everyone to get a village. all villages have higher taxes than non villages. the only reason your taxes have not increased is A: fuzzy math practices, and B: we have not had any highway services and the services we do have are inferior to what we had before. If we want to fix our roads and do things the right way taxes will have to go up. the trustees were so busy trying not to raise taxes that they let our roads go to pot and now we will pay much more to fix them than if they were maintained correctly in the first place.

You exagerate the issues to fit your logic. The people were told their taxes would "double" by the poa and still voted for the village. You posted the dissolution steps on the Issues page. Maura is in the SSP saying taxes have to go up. She's also on the Issues page saying the same thing.

You and the village haters at the clubhouse will never stop, and yes, the only reason you ever fought against the village is because the Directors and their few followers didn't want to give up their little empire.

Screw this. We need to go through this crap for a year or two while Maura and her minions try to win their childish little battle to prove mbvec was wrong?
Maura, introduce your referendum vote for dissolution. Let the voters speak their mind right now. If they still vote for the village, then we can get on with our lives.

If they vote no, then we'll go back to the Town. Let's just have a vote. All this vile BS from Maura and her followers is sickening. Settle the damn thing once and for all. You can all get your whining and complaining out of the way in a month or so and we can vote.

If Maura would have mentioned raising taxes or viability of the village before she was elected, she would have lost. That's as bad as what your accusing mbvec of doing.

Get on with it. Have your new Trustee offer the resolution and Bruce can second it. I'm sure one of the other Board members is so sick of hearing your whining that they'll vote for the referendum.

no. This is the ranting of an idiot that's mad that Maura was voted in. She doesn't want to dissolve. She never stated she wanted to dissolve. You will hear this from the Frank F, Paul, Gail and Bob fan club for the next year.
I would ask of the original poster to show proof, either in a statement or on video, that she said she was dissolving the village but I know they can't. Sore losers, nothing more.

you're an idiot. I have a better idea. Next year we'll vote out the rest of the problem trustees and just take over the village. If you think our highways and roads are in better shape with the village then the TOB, then you are nuts. When, not if, we need to fix, repair or replace our roads the taxes will skyrocket. The only reason we have not seen the tax increase yet is because we don't get the same services as the Town gave us. IT LOOKS LIKE TRASH HERE!!!
How about this....stop your bitching and complaining and let's see if Bruce and Maura can do any better then the past trustees. All I hear from you yes village morons is "give them time, we can't fix MB in a year". Well, take your own advice, give them time, stop your bitching and deal with the fact that the voters voted them in.

Based on the budget numbers I believe the person who said the taxes would double is wrong. Right now the village takes about $600 per household. To create a highway Dept and budget for paving yearly, my guess is that we'll pay at least $1000 more per house.$1600 village tax total (Min.) We can all just say no and leave the roads alone. I've got 4WD

hey moron, guess what? maura did not say she wanted to raise taxes. she said that once we either hire someone to fix the roads, or fix them ourselves, the cost will be so great that taxes will probably have to be raised. the people to thank for that are the one's who have been in office since the village's inception, and chose not to care for our roads. It costs significantly less to maintain the roads than to have to fix the damage caused by not maintaining them. so, if taxes go up, put the blame where it belongs....on the people who have been screwing up since the beginning.

Gee, this village seems to have some math challenged people.

We have 5,500 houses, so let's say the taxex will be increased by $1,000 per house. Guess how much that would yield....$5,500,000 more per year. Currently, the village collects about $1,100,000 per year not including garbage. So you are predicting an increase of
500%

Preposterous. I would personally do all the work to dissolve it if that were the case.

Interesting.
If the past board raised taxes and put more money into maintenance they would be vilified. Village haters would complain, say they were lied to, or say there was corruption.
If the two new board members want to raise taxes, spend more, then it's ok?
It is very confusing.

we were promised the SAME services for the SAME taxes paid.
People have been asking to fix our roads for years. People have been asking to mow the grass on the sides of the roads so the phragmities would stop growing through them. What we expected was the TRUTH. To get EXACLY the same services and maintenance that the TOB gave us. If that is to happen, the village needs to raise taxes. The only ones dumb enough to believe this wasn't going to happen was the idiots in the MBVEC who were doing the lying.
The vision team couldn't do what they promised. So they were voted out. Promises were made and broken. So they were voted out. This is government 101. Deal with it.

How much do you think the equipment will cost. I can tell you it's not cheep. Experienced manpower, insurance, materials, maintenance for the equipment. You say I'm way off, but I disagree with you. I always estimate high because experience taught me to plan for the unexpected. Sooner or later they will have to do this, so I guess we will see.(probably sooner)

She questioned the viability of the village in the SSP. She has talked about having to raise taxes repeatedly and has fought the village at every turn, but now she loves the village. Right, I guess you have a gold mine in Shirley that you want to sell, too. Anyone who knows Maura, knows she hates the village and wants it gone. And by the way, if you want to see an idiot, I suggest you look into the nearest mirror.

Your group is constantly saying, Maura got elected, get over it. Who cares, let her take her shot at office. But the people with a problem getting over it are your people. If I had a dollar for every time you guys and gals mention MBVEC, I would be rich. You all just can't get over the fact that the MBPOA and their "just say no village" campaign went down in flames.

Too Bad. The people heard everything you had to say and chose a village. You think the 1,797 people that voted for the village were all MBVEC members? Yea, R.I.G.H.T.

i believe the MBVEC is brought up to show the amount of lies that were told to get a village. I wish I had a dollar for every time one of you village idiots compare the POA to a government.
Maura won, deal with it. If you are this pathetic now, I can't wait to see next years election when Gary and Bill are voted out also.
Heck, with 4 voting trustees on our side, I bet we COULD get the village dissolved easier. Oh well, next year. Enjoy the power while you have it, next year it will be gone.

And as to your offer to dissolve the village, which I heard was put on a facebook page that now identifies you, go ahead.
