no it was jr b strongs wife I talked to the family right after it happened so u need to check the facts. No matter if the little girl bullys other kids all the time or not that does not give joann the right to push the grandmother when she had to go to the school after joann called because the little girl was in trouble. Joann is a bully to and when she tried to bully jr b strongs wife she showed joann she couldn't bully her like she does the kids at the school.

Well i heard a puppt she bought was supposed to be registered and that sparked it all. She said give me back my money for that puppy! In cace you have not noticed i am joking. It sounds much sweeter if it was a puppy deal gone wrong. Don't you think. Every one should love one another. Joann needs to be nicer sounds like but it should not have come to fighting. Look at the example that sets for those kids.

Attacking a teacher or principal is against the law and will only cause further troubles for the offender. However, the Principal should respond to angry parents in a trained, proven, and defusing manner. The Principal only further ignites the anger and hurt that parents usually seek to resolve in a rational way. Without referral to this week's incident, she has been so incapable that parents should go to School Board Meetings and complain directly. The Director we presently have is a close cohort and is also heartless with an attitude comparable to that of the Principal. She needs to be replaced now. She never has been and never will be capable of acting as a good caretaker of our CHILDREN and Celina K-8. Scars imposed upon children by authority figures cannot be removed mentally, physically, or emotionally.Any normal, conscientious human would have already resigned. Complain, protest, and go to the School Board with your concerns written down to provide "documentation". K-8 has many great teachers but have a Principal that can negate their positive strides. She needs to be replaced.

Sounds like this could be a certain teacher on here, but anyways this is true if you have a concern, let you concerns be heard. None the less if this is the truth (and I am sure it is not!) then then the individual is not setting a good example and should be ashamed to act in such a way, what about the embarrassment she has brought to her granddaughter. Bullies are awful and bulling should stop!!!! As this is the reason as to why some children go off the deep end, coming from a VERY RELIABLE source the child did bully another actually several children (this is sad and should not happen no matter who it is) and the issue was addressed. Granted this should have been dealt with in another way as the school cameras have and will show everything. This individual went to OUR schools with the intent to do harm and charges need to be filled against her as WE have innocent children and when people see red or are infuriated with anger, they are unable to focus and keep a clear mind and there were INOCENT CHILDREN THERE!!!!!!!!!! During this time and I as a parent find this woman to be disrespectful to US as parents but most important to OUR CHILDREN. JMO

Does it even matter if it was a teacher posting on here? Why are you so curious? It's the Internet, everyone is entitled to an anonymous opinion. I think it is hilarious that nobody on here can agree as to who it was, yet you are all quick to jump to your own conclusion without knowing the situation first-hand. It was very wrong of whoever this was to show up during school hours intending to cause trouble in public and in front of vulnerable children. However, one should also consider the fact that the principal is in charge there and how she handled the situation from the beginning caused the situation to escalate further. Joann, not a child friendly person, but a slightly educated person who I am sure can read body language, should have called the police once the lady started raisin' cain in the middle of the day at a place of business and yes, education. Shame on them BOTH. If the little child is bullying others, she also needs to be dealt with. Another example of monkey see monkey do.

The child was being bullied by other children and defended herself that don't make it right cause she should have went to an adult instead of trying to handle it but mrs joann did not bother to find out why the child did what she did and no punishment was given to the kids who was bullying this child and yes maybe the grandmother should have handled in a different manner but mrs joann needs to learn she can't continue to run that school in a unfair manner. She is not child friendly and when a parent goes to talk to her she tells you one thing and does another she is two faced and a liar and cares nothing for the children only about herself and getting a pay check.

Is it not a felony to strike a teacher. Someone said that a school bus driver was attacked in some county and the attacker got a year and a half in jail. Bet that won't happen in Clay County. Here it is always the teachers fault.

IMO, like in a previous post, the lady that went to the school should not have went to the school with the attitude that she had and in fact, It doesn't take a lot of research to tell us that discipline in school is different today than it was in the 1950s. But it does take some investigation to find out why. Various studies have shown that students who act up in school express a variety of reasons for doing so:
Some think that teachers don't care about them.
Others don't want to be in school at all.
They don't consider goal setting and success in school important anymore.
Students are unaware that their adolescent behaviors will result in punishment they won't like.
Discipline enforcers have to go through long procedures of due process: hearings, specific charges, witnesses, and appeals.

Despite these hurdles, students agree that discipline is needed and futhermore there are rules that we must abide by especially when it comes to the safety of the children in public schiil. YES, CHILDREN HAVE RIGHTS!... All children have the right to PROTECTION especially when they go to school, I mean come on people look at all of the current situations in other schools where one's temper flairs and someone ends up dead.

Perhaps we as parents should pursue a lawsuite ourselfs against this individual to teach her and others a lesson, as it is our children that was in harms way. WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!

VIOLENCE IS NEVER THE ANSWER NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE.

Something needs to happen to this grandmother! As grandparents we should set good examples for our grandkids and never put them or anyone elses children in harms way. Shame

Grandmother needs to go to JAIL!!! She is setting the example for the girl that violence is ok? You get mad, so you strike out? Mrs. McLerran should have defended herself by any means possible. A good old ball bat to Grandmother's head would have been appropriate. Several children witnessed the attack. SHAME on the Grandmother is right!!!!

I am not sure what really happened, but I know that I do not apperciate anyone that thinks they can bring violence to inocent children or attempt to put them in harms way. I have two children at Celina K-8 and I do not always agree with what goes on out there with teachers, etc, but like 98% of the rest of you parents I do not let my temper disrupt around children. I am very concerned and wish that something will be done to this lady. Just because we live in a small town does not mean that something could not happen.

I don't know any of the parties involved but I do have something to add to your comment about the child telling an adult. Most of the adults in the school are related to the kids in some manner...

I was bullied as a child when I was there. When I told the "adults" they would say to bobby jo (the bully) "aw knock it off"--->or tell me to go somewhere to play or something like that.

It is hard to discipline bobby jo if he is your first cousin's kid. It is easier to look the other way, leaving the bullied kid standing there without any help whatsoever.

Some kids react violently to taunts....some kids take it internally.

LIke I said, I don't know the parties involved, but if the little kid finally reacted to the bullying taunts, she should get an ovation...not ISS.

But there should have been no cause for the adults to fight.

I know there is times I would have loved to punch joann in the mouth myself. She has her picks at school and if she don't like you then you are the guilty one to hear her tell it even if the truth is your not guilty. I am glad the grandmother stood up for her grandchild and showed joann she can't treat childern the way she does. Joann should have never been put as principal in the first place.
