I know why. The sup and board think that by getting rid of the new ones after a few years will save the county money. This way they don't get stuck with getting teachers in there and then having to start paying teneor after 5 yrs. Actually pretty smart.
But I have to say 1 thing that has become incredibly stupid.I personally have always tried to vote a new one in my district everytime the election comes around. And its not nothing toward the board. It's just to have a new voice at the table. So why are the voters in this county keeping the same board members around for so long?? Who ever posted earlier that the board members have children in school. Well thats not necessarily true.

It is not smart at all.
Studies show teachers in their first 1-2 years do not do as well as teachers in year 3-5-8. If it is a money decision, it's an idiotic one, trading 600 extra bucks a year for worse teachers and test scores which lead to cut funding.

So lets vote Dicki out and please get rid of anthony smith.I know he has family members against him.If you vote out Dickie and vote in 3 new members the face of the board will change 30% and Jerry Strong will be out.

Most of these comments are so completely wrong. Love how you all make statements and try to pass them off as facts. No wonder the schools have such a hard time dealing with the offspring of narrow minded people. YoYo
