Beautiful woman. Raised four children alone after husband died in 1967. Hard working woman. Also was a person that would give to help anyone in need. Was Coodinator for Meals on Wheels and also Director for the Agape in St. Marys. She donated toys to the local HeadStart programs. She had been "Mother of the Year" with the local Eagles.
She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals.
She loved all history, but especially Military History. Her specialty was the Civil War and WWII. She compiled a history of the St. Marys Armory and donated it the the National Guard in Columbus. She compiled a list of Auglaize County Soldiers who lost their lives in the various wars. She had this list printed and framed. She donated 2 to the VFW.
She worked several years on a History of St. Marys, OH. Alot of her work was used in a book that was published.
As I said she raised four children on her own. And I must add, she did an awesome job! Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved attending her grandchildren's ball games and dance recitals. She was so proud of all the graduations from high school and college. Her happiest days were those that she was able to spend with her family.
She left her family with a legacy of hardwork, determination, love and grace. She will be sadly missed daily.
