I have been a resident at Community Share Ministry for nine months.
Jason Slaughter, Has given me a home and open his heart to me and has helped me reconnect to God my Lord Jesus Christ. I have the highest respect for Jason. I have been working at the Thrift Store and I know what the store brings in and it is not enough to cover the bills. Jason has shown me that God helps people that dose his works. It is through God that the Men’s and Women’s Shelter remains open. Also, it is through God that we were able to hand out food to over 2000 people during Christmas. God allowed us to hand out bread and other food item weekly.I have never seen any women or drugs at the men's shelter.

It is so sad to read such negativity against another person based solely from "hearsay". It's highly unlikely that anyone could get rich from feeding, clothing, & sheltering homeless people. I would Be very careful how you judge people you may just be the next one in line waiting on a vacant bed in a homeless shelter.

How about work outside the junk store & you have to give them Most of your earnings?

I've seen first hand how many people are being helped on a daily basis by community share ministry. They give food & clothing to the needy without asking for one thing in return from them. God is working through Jason & this ministry to help people live & grow closer to God. I have to agree that getting materially rich from giving to others is highly unlikely.. now, gaining spiritual richness is another story. I pray that those of you who say all these negative things don't ever end up needing because you would probably end up eating your own words.

I disagree with that statement. For you to make a statement so mean , you must know all of the Slaughters or you must be mad at the world

Why would they take most of the money that someone makes on a job outside of the Junk Store? If the people are homeless, how are they suppose to work and save money to get a place to live, if they take their money?
And why would weirdo Dennis take peoples cell phones away from them for talking to women? They are grown, who is he to do such?
It all sounds shady to me. Someone should be looking into this. To insure that the people that live their are not being deprived of their rights!

They get you signed up for food stamps and/or disability and then they make you give them your food stamp card and disability check. If you do manage to get a job they also make you pay $100 a week to continued to stay there. Jason also demands that you go to his new so called church or you have to leave the shelter. Trust me "Sweet Tooth" and the "JUNK" store make way more than $150 a day I've been there seen it. It really amazes me that someone who can't spell or use 3rd grade grammar could ever pull off this scam but he does and he has so many fooled!!!!!!

I do not believe that the person posting for Jason Slaugher is Jason Slaughter.
He is more literate than whoever is posting those terribly worded paragraphs.

I know first hand what that ministry is about. I was there. While everyone involved may not have the best intentions Jasons program does work for those who are willing to truely change thier lives.(which it's up to the individual) I was abusing my own perscription drugs which and getting into alot of trouble. He gave me and my wife a place to stay and the opportunity to get and stay clean. I AM PROUD TO SAY WE BEEN CLEAN 2 YEARS NOW!!! There are a few things and people there that could be changed, but that can be said for anyone or anything. Nothing nor anyone on this earth is perfect except Gods will. When I was there I wanted to come back home and start a similiar program in my home town. I still would love to do so though I do not have the means at this point. Though me and my wife a year after leaving there are starting to reach out in our attempt to begin our work. The money made at the thrift store does go for the overhead cost of running his program, water, power, etc. So anyone who says that the program isn't worth it either has no idea what they are talking about or just didn't really want to change in the first place. I thank God often for Jason coming into my life and what he has done for me and my wife.

hey "poot-isher"...if you're making the allegation someone is a crook, be a man and speak of facts, not empty, shallow, brad-brush statements....speak in specifics....for which i suspect you have none.
