History in Cedarburg, Port Washington, Wis. -- Wisconsin

I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you take a weekend getaway to Port Washington/Cedarburg. Such charming towns. Port Washington has a distinct New-England like charm having a wonderful lakeshore and marina. I personally would recommend staying overnight in Port and taking a day trip over to Cedarburg. For lodging, I would highly recommend a lakeview room or suite at the Holiday Inn Harborview. This hotel is reasonably priced (ask for the 2-nt getaway package) has unmatched service and is located right on the shore of Lake Michigan, walking distance to all of the downtown restaurants, bars, shops, etc.
