it is pretty obvious mc palin was being deceitful when she had her other daughter holding her baby to hide her stomach from the view of everyone.what else are they hiding? this is sending a message to all american teenage girls that is okay to have sex ,which clearly was not safe sex.if this is not the message then please clarify the logic...

I will crawl over broken glass, for miles if I have to, to vote for this woman. The way she has been treated by the sexist media and the sexist Democrats/liberals is beyond the pale. I thought we were an enlightened society in which women could have children and work, and candidates' children were off-limits. Guess that only applies to Democrats' children like Chelsea, and people can selectively trash innocent children of Republicans. The guile of the left disgusts me, and more importantly, makes me filled with excitement about this ticket. The left wouldn't be trying to destroy Sarah Palin if they weren't threatened by her.

palin has young children. how can she take care of them and be a vice president? she can't every seem to take of the children she has and teach them properly. Who is really caring for these poor kids. they won't even really know there mother and when is is old, she will wonder why they won't care for her in her old age. what does she expect? can YOU tell I can't run fast enough FROM voting for her.

Esther must be a single parent mother, she dosen't really care anything about children, everything is all about her.

Are "Single Parent Mother" and "Local Worker" serious or playing sarcastic libs?! Not all women who are also mothers are wired the same. Maybe you don't see yourself as running for office or even volunteering at the local library in the name of 'good mothering'. But some women actually are gifted to have the boldness and drive to be a public servant. You predict she'll be lonely and longing for her family's respect when old- I predict proud children and grandchildren who will long to hear her stories of inspiration of being a woman who stands up for what she believes in. NOT buckling to self-righteous super moms. I am a single mom of 3 and my kids are proud that I'm not wallowing in self pity but out there bettering myself. I couldn't run for public office, but Palin and other women/moms like her have the talent, gifts, and heart to do so. Not sure if you'd feel the same if your party's veep nominee was the same. The McCain/Palin ticket is the only one for some real change. They both have records for moving legislature and they both are not your DC cronies.

women get on our NIKE's and run to help Obama where at least we will have a right to pro-choice sex education and God forbid NOT have to give birth to a baby conceived from a rape or go to jail

Shameful that Palin knowingly exposed her pregnant daughter to media detailing of her pregnancy and sex life. Shameful that Palin exploits her Down Syndrome infant, holding him up like a doll for photo opps, handing him back to handmaiden daughter to wave and smile at the crowd. Shameful to drag that baby to two nights and hours of noisy conventioneers, flashing lights, even fireworks, who knows what germs? Shows she puts Sarah Palin first, everything and everybody afterwards. Poor judgment. Do not want her making decisions for me and my country.
I am the grandmother of a Down Syndrome teenage boy who needs routine, is hypesensitive to loud noises, and flashing lights, so I can speak with experience. Also, when I was younger, I was very ambitious and put myself and my career before my children. Though I would probably do it again, I know they suffered for it.

I've been saying it all day, and I'm still not tired of it.

I am loving the panic and fear the libs are displaying.

The republicans have a talented, immensely relatable, conservative candidate that is NOT an old guy with white hair - and you guys and gals just can't come up with enough barbs to throw at her.

I suppose its a natural response considering you and the great O thought this election was over and done with.

I have to laugh about the libs. Obama has kids, why is no one making that an issue? Are women the only ones that can take care of kids? The ironic thing is that most of the posters with the 'what about the kids' babble appear to be women. You are ruining your own feminazi propaganda about housewives. Why are you doing this? Are you going to argue next that there's no way the dishes will get done if she becomes VP?

And the double standard thing is crap. She's a pragmatist (look it up, you know you want to) who, despite the best intentions, is living in the real world, with real problems. Obama? His kids go to private school where I understand the tuition is $15 / year for kindergarden. You think he and his 'outspoken' wife are providing the care?!?

I have no fear whatsoever of Sarah Palin. When the initial buzz wears off, you're going to have a far-right candidate that I think will have trouble explaining some of her views as all that relatable. Especially pro-life on rape and incest. That isn't a barb. It isn't a rip. It isn't sexist. It is her stance and it is out of touch with mainstream America. There will be more examples of her ideology coming soon as well. As I said before, she is far to the right of Senator McCain.

Anyone who thinks any Presidential election will be a blowout for either side is deluding themselves. The only way we'll ever see a blowout again is if somebody gets caught in a scandal weeks before the election.

I agree with your 2nd paragraph.

Regarding Palin's abortion stance, I don't belive it will be as big a deal as you do. And it definitely won't be as big a deal as the Obama camp wishes it to be. Yes, she is in the minority on the rape and incest part. But, if someone is TRULY on the fence between Obama and McCain, a vice president's view on a tiny percentage of overall abortions is not going to make or break this election.

Well said! WHY, especially in this day and age, would anyone ask out loud why a women isn't staying at home to raise her children? Palin and many other Moms have different talents and different home situations with partners who also have different talents and philosophies. WHY is it so hard to believe that Palin's husband is not following HER gifted career and is not supportive of the idea that HE will be the stay-at-home-Dad to care for the children (including the baby with Down's Syndrome). Men CAN and DO run households and raise children, and should be expect to more often and should be supported with more confidence! Women ARE people with brains and talents; not dishrags good for nothing but being housemaids, obedient little wives, and full time babysitters. Men are just as talented and can be just as nurturing too; it is up to the two in the marriage to make these decisions for themselves because they know themselves and their union as no other can.

BTW, you can watch your kids 25-7 and read the Bible to them everyday; but if they want to have sex (and consequently get pregnant) they will. We don't own our kids, their future, their thinking process, their choices, OR their hormones.

I'm sure Palin wasn't thrilled that Bristol got pregnant, but her choice to support Bristol with love and encouragement is the best thing she can do for Bristol, the new baby, the father, and the rest of the family. FAMILY and LOVE means TOGETHERNESS and SUPPORT! I am a stay-at-home-Mom after much thought about the sacrifices and about the HUGE rewards; but I can respect a woman like Palin who also made good choices and chose to put her talents to work as a public servant.
