I grew up in Cedar Vale and recently became aware of this forum. A friend of mine showed me the website where he kept tabs on his hometown. I looked up Cedar Vale and when we both read some of the posts, I was very embarrassed. I have been in the military for 20 yrs and have been to alot of places. Of all the places, my fondest memories are of growing up in a small farm town in Ks. I would tell my friends of all the great experiences I had there. After reading some of the posts, I see that things have changed. I'm shocked to see the personal attacks, personal agendas and poor spelling. I realize that it is probably only a few people who are abusing this forum but it puts the whole town in a bad light. I would ask that the people on here use it for what it was intended for: sharing information and making the town better. I honestly hope that these personal attacks are coming from a very small minority. If you don't like the way things are, there are other ways to fix them. We can vote or we can volunteer our time and efforts to effect change. We have a saying in the military. Don't sit there and cry about what is wrong, give me the solution. Please be aware that I won't be answering back to any negative or positive responses so no need to reply. I just ask everyone to be adults on here since it represents the town.

Chuck I am so glad you spoke up, maybe this will give all of the negative people something to think about, you have nothing to gain by hurting others. Good for you, hope it helps.

Have any of you complainers even bothered to check out this observation from a former Cedar Vale resident? Great Job Chuck!!!! You all have so much to complain about, but how many of you have come up with a solution? Look ahead and think about what Chuck Juul is saying. We have a long way to go if we are going to survive, that is if any of you really care whether we survive or not.

Chuck, do remember the parties we had out at Bohannons farm? I remember you putting your truck into that 9in tree, trying to do donuts to impress the girls, and when we finally got you to stop there was a perfect rendering of that 9 inch tree in you bumper, how cool was that, I remember your first words "What the hell am I going to tell my Dad?" I remember that night he threw both you and David down the stairs to the basement. You really pissed Dad off that night. I don't blaim you, it was probably one of the funnest times of our lives! And the booze(God Bless Granpa Rollin) he knew how the teenagers needed to vent they're frustation. He was so kind, he understood how a teenager felt, I miss him so much, he wasn't only a saving grace for his family but he was a saving grace to all the

misfits in town. He had wonderful advice when you needed it and even if you didn't take his advice he wouldn't hold it against you. I loved his smile, his laugh, and guidence. Some of you may think he wasn't a good role model, but he was in his own way, he didn't push us to the limit, he helped us find our way in this harsh world. Do you remember that Chuck!!!!!!! You remember your childhood because I do and I was there with you!

Chuck do you remember your child hood? Do you remember the party where you were doing donuts and ran smack into that tree out at grandpa Rollins land on the county line, we all pulled your truck away from that tree and in the bumper there was a perfect resemblence of that tree, oh about 9 inches
in the bumper of your truck. That was fun, what ever happened to that truck? Everyone was there, it was a really fun party!!!!!until that happened I remember you freaking out Oh my god, how and I going to explain that to DaD. I'm sorry to say that what Charles remembers isn't what you old people remember. The parties at the pipe, I'm sure you remember them. We had fun, we were teenagers, figuring out who we were, who we thought we loved, in a haze of case upon case upon case of beer and whine coolers. Do you remember coming home and being throne down the basement stairs by your father, that was richesse, Oh that might have been David, it was all confusing because we were all drunk. It was the good ol days, if you drove around drunk the cop would stop you tell you to get your ass home or he was calling your mama. What parties we had back then!!!!!!!!!11They were fun, carefree, we didn't give a shit if we got caught, they didnt't do anything to us. Now a days our children try to find they're way, the cops forget what its like to be a teeenager.
