Has anyone heard anything about Obama-Care? I found a site on the computer that says he could ban guns in home self-defense. Anyone interested should check it out. http://www.infowars.com/obamacare-could-be-us... Do we realy want the govt. to tell us what to do about our medical? Do we want them telling us if we dont have ins. we cant have a gun? I dont want them telling me anything about my guns.

The paranoia is amazing. Health care has nothing to do with your precious guns. Are you on Medicare? Medicaid? VA? The government already does a more cost efficient job providing medical services than the private sector. If you'd rather pay 10-15 percent more for your premiums to enrich private insurance companies, feel free. I'm going to sign up for the public option so I can keep more of my money. Republican Free Enterprise = making the rich richer, and you poorer!

All I want everyone to know is all the facts. No I dont get any Govt. assistance whatsoever. If you logged onto that sight you can see it is a fact. I just want everyone to make sure the govt. does not pass this bill. I am a gun owner. I will fight for my gun rights though. You can continue to be ignorant of all the facts. Just let others to know. The govt. also wants to fine all gun owners for each gun they own. They want you to declare them on your taxes. I think they need to figure out what to do about the cost of medicall expenses rather than telling me who I can have for a Dr. I definately dont want them to tell me what they will cover or how long they will treat me or anything to do with my health. If the govt. didnt pay out so much welfare and put all of the ones on it to work we would be better off. The govt. has too much say now about MY life.

The government will pass this bill, because the people spoke last November. Elections have consequences and people voted for reform. You're being sadly misled on the gun issue. None of this is true. The whole point of health care reform IS to control the costs, making it more affordable for everyone. Would you rather it stay the say it is, with premiums rising many times faster than the wages? Doing nothing is a disaster. You're arguing against the exact same thing you WANT.

There are already ties between healthcare and gun control and there are provisions in the proposed bill that will give even more. Homeland security is already notified whenever someone at the VA medical centers answers yes to any of these three questions.. 1. Did I feel stressed? 2. Did I feel threatened? 3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone? If you had answer yes to any of the questions, you will lose your concealed carry permit as it will go into your medical records and the VA will report it to Homeland Security. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners as potential terrorists. Wake up sheeple.

SLC122: The bill I have refered to is called "The Baucus bill". The Senate Finance Commitee Chairmans name is Max Baucus. His quote is "Own a gun; lose your coverage!" The summary simply says:* "all U.S. citizens and legal residents would be required to purchase coverage through (1) the individual market...." *"individuals would be required to report on their federal income tax return the months for which they maintain the required minimum health coverage...".*in addition to an extensive list of statutorily mandated coverage, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius would be empowered to "define and update the categories of treatments, items, and services..." within an insurance plan which would be covered in a policy constituting "required minimum health coverage." This story can be seen at -Infowars-http//www.infowars.c om-. If you dont believe me read it. I for one own a gun. I think the govt. tells me too much now. Sebelius is against guns anyway. I sure dont want her telling me about my health because of my gun. My husband has a conceal carry permit also. I was raised with guns and I know guns dont kill people, people kill people. All this will do is force the law abiding to hide guns, and the crimminals to keep killing. Guns should not have anything to do with my ins. coverage. The govt. shouldnt either.

Socialism is no answer
Arkansas City, KS

Our Government is now in the Banking business and the Auto business, and is telling the leaders of corporate businesses how much money they are allowed to make. We are becoming a socialist nation, and it is happening right under our noses. Get out and vote in the 2010 election, and let's get rid of this liberal majority that wants us to become a communist nation.

I have news for you: the U.S. has had socialism since at least the 1930s, but I don't hear the Chamber of Commerce bitching about getting its government handouts, or hear you bitching about getting your Social Security check or hear any other so-called "conservatives" bitching about getting other "socialist" benefits.

well they are trying to make sure everyone has ins. That means they are gonna force all the businesses to supply ins. to employees. Can our small businesses afford to do that? No. What does that mean? We will have no business, means no jobs, means cant pay ins or med bills. Gosh right back where we are now. O.K. So then they put you on welfare or public option. Public option means you still have to have a job to pay your discounted price. Still no job. O.K. Dont forget you will have to pay on your income taxes for your gun. That is the gun you use to hunt with. Cant pay that? Go to jail. Gosh, it sounds like the govt taking controll of our health ins is the way to go. They need to take controll of the cost at the office, ER, Pharmacy, etc. You pay into Social Security. Although at this point the younger generation wont get any of theirs. It doesnt pay enough to survive on now. As for C.O.C. They are so broke they cant afford to do anything. That is why they do fundraisers and charge dues to be in the Chamber. Other "socialist benefits". What welfare? Do away with it. Get those people off their back sides. I still do not believe the govt. should say what, when, where, why I should have health coverage and care. That is MY choice. I will not stand still for them to tell me owning a gun is too dangerous to cover me with ins, or penalizing me because I own one. What does health coverage and taxes have to do with each other. Nothing!! They are gonna try to make ti that away though.

I could go back and pick over some of your post. That is a waste of time. If you want to fear something you should fear what the govt. is going to be able to do. We will all have you and people like you to thank. Ha! Ha! All you have to do is open your closed mind and eyes to see what they want. You are going to be one of them who will see it too late.

No, I truly doubt that you could pick over any of my posts. I have a very fine education from a public university - yes, one of those "socialist" institutions that I'm sure you would all love to get rid of so we can all be as frightened and ignorant as you are. Be sure to get rid of our "socialist" police departments, fire departments, public roads, libraries, and of course that socialist Medicare so we can ALL live in squalor and poverty like a third world country. That's the goal, isn't it? Strip us to the bone and soon we'll be one large India (without the jobs). But hey, at least we won't cower in fear from our government. You amuse me, you really do. Give you your Medicare and I'll give up the public option. Deal?

As for medicare: I would much rather be able to take care of the elderly. These people are the ones that went to war for you and me. The helped to make sure you had the right to an education, health care, religion, and to "Keep and bear arms". They worked so you could have a better life than most of them had. I know my ancestors did. My parents, grand parents, and even my great grand parents. Which by the way were Cherokee indians. I am very proud of what they and others have done for me. You are one of these who believe the world owes you. Got news for you baby!! It dont o u nutn!! Tharz my redneck wayz comn out......
