At N.C. coast, new pier is coming

This is an artist's rendering of the planned N.C. Aquarium Pier at Nags Head BOWMAN MURRAY HEMING RENDERING How should coastline look? Of all the fish tales told by anglers plying the Atlantic off the North Carolina coast, the most mournful may be of the ocean fishing piers that have gotten away, lost to hurricanes or waterfront development.

It would be nice if the developer could preserve and rehabilitate the existing housing at Jeanettes Pier, and I hope they keep the name, "Jeanettes Pier." Could someone advise me of the correct spelling of "Jeanettes?"

I love how we have enough money to rebuild the pier but we cant use some of that 25 million dollars to stop the budget and teacher cuts in NC...oh yea thats right a pier is much more important than the lives and futures of our children in Dare County or NC
