Hwy MM in House springs @ Heads Creek Rd

Another loved one was killed on hwy mm this morning at heads creek rd. The new phase2 project can't come soon enough. To the family that lost their loved one this morning i give my deepest sympathy and prayers. the death toll on this hwy is uncalled for and this should have been a priority to have construction started sooner.please drive with caution on this death trap hwy.SLOW DOWN AND GET HOME SAFE!!!!

Highways do not kill people, driving stupid kill people here is the report that the highway patrol gave:

VEHICLE 1 WAS WESTBOUND ON ROUTE MM. DRIVER 1 ATTEMPTED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE IN THE ROADWAY AT AN EXCESSIVE SPEED. VEHICLE 1 BEGAN TO SLIDE OFF THE LEFT EDGE OF THE ROADWAY. VEHICLE 1 STRUCK A CONCRETE CULVERT AND A STOP SIGN, BEFORE OVERTURNING. VEHICLE 1 CAME TO REST ON ITS ROOF

we would not need to waste money on fixing roads if people would drive careful.

Hwy 55 is very straight and look how many accidents are on that highway.

i uagree with you on that one i used to live on heads creek people don't care how they drive they just care about how fast they get there

Becky, you should know the road before you put your foot in your mouth. Even the most cautious
and curtious drivers die on this road. Its ashame that MODot is only doing a bad patch job on Hwy MM instead of spending the money on the four lane that really should be done. Even when the upgrades are complete people will still die on this road.

That road has always been dangerous, I can remember driving that road in 1977! We used to turn our headlights off and drive it by moon light! Headscreek road used to have corn fields on each side of the entrance! I remember wrecking my motorcycle a couple times on mm and heads creak. I went through there not to long ago and I don’t like what there doing on bit! They have tore up everything and there going to turn it into another cluster fyck! You need to be careful on the roads there they have taken many lives I know I lived in House springs since 1963! I maybe down south a bit now but I know were my roots were! I could tell you stories about that town that people hoped would stay buried!
