To say that once they cut the pork they are down to "meat and bones". Who wrote this for the article? They are the fastest growing sector in our economy and have to live within a budget. Read tax increases. They don't have to improve their product or woo consumers. They have mandatory tap-in power. They just go and increase their harvest of us.

Cutting cost.
Well for starters get rid of some of the artsy fartsy art and high dollar furniture the state owns. Sell off some of the empty properties the state owns. Then of course take advantage of some higher mile per gallon vehicles. Charge Jail Birds for their stay and medical costs since it was their choice to do the crime, so why should we foot the bill.
Do we really need a multi million dollar state airplane? How many commercial flights would the price tag pay for. Heck get frequent flier miles too.
There are a lot of ways to cut waste, except the nuts in Santa Fe just want to take care of their cronies.
Clovis is a good example.
The old employment office moved several times in the past 20 years. Of course that needed remodeling, new furniture and so on. What a waste. The Food Stamp Office. Brand new building built a few years ago. Adult Probation Office, just built a new building on Prince Street. More money out the window.
I thank all of you for paying for this waste.

If Richardson had not gone to Rome with a dozen or so people to celebrate making a law that many of us were against, we would now have more money in the coffers.

MAYBE just MAYBE if the state would stop jerking us oil and gas folks around they would have some decent amount of income rolling in and wouldn't have to worry about cutting anything out of the budget. IF the state would stop slapping us with new rules every time they want to impress some hippy group of jerk off's there would be plenty of money to pay for things like oh, i don't know SCHOOLS, ROADS, POLICE OFFICERS, FIRE STATIONS, so on and so forth. WAKE UP NEW MEXICO.

Here's a novel idea, cut Retardson's salary in 1/2, sell the state owned Cessna jet, eliminate the retirement/medical plans for the legislature and, finally, send home the double dippers to include marty chavez.

When you have a solid base of democrats running the show you can expect a spending spree of untold amounts. This is what got us into this along with Retardson 'losing'$90 million of state employee's and educators money.

What does Retardson know about cutting the pork anyway? I'm thinking he is the problem and not the solution.

Vote out all democrats because they really are crimicrats. Fire them all.

Gosh they want to cut the education budget? Wasn't it just last week the report of schools making AYP came out and now the want to cut more from the education budget? Doesn't make sense to me. Why not cut some of the all the new departments Richardson started since he took office, get rid of his private jet, cut the spaceport, etc. Education and health should be priorities of the budget, not the first to be cut.

They DID NOT say cut the pork, they said cut the FAT. And what else do you have on a pig except fat, meat, and bones. Of course, they meant to say it.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Libra

If you're invited to a party or gathering today and you don't know whether to go, you should. You'll have a terrific time and you might meet someone who always makes your knees go weak. Even if it's a perfectly harmless flirtation and you're both happily committed to other people, it will still do your ego good to have a tantalizing conversation with this person.
