Greg Passwaters is a fine deputy, caring, professional and totally honest. No one who has ever dealt with him in southern Cecil County would ever belive that he did anything wrong or violent. I bet this accusation is from a criminal he arrested for cause. Hang in there, deputy Passwater. the Southern Cecil County community supports you and your family!

This was a matter of the total wimp "nice little boy" state's attorney, Eastridge, pushing what was an obvious vendetta and false charge to a grand jury. My dog could get an indictment for anything out of a Cecil County (DUMBO) grand jury. It is too bad that Eastridge has so little integrity that he would dump on Deputy Passwater, who his own staff knows is honest and above reproach. Eastridge is afraid of "someone" in the state government who has had it out for cops for quite a while. That is because the cops don't bow down for this certain lying politician!

The state police, county departments and municipal force members really need to pay attention to what is going on. If a 'good guy' like so many of us know Greg passwater is, can be accused and attacked like this, the rest of us will be next in line even if we have done nothing wrong!
We all need to pay attention to the ties between state politicans and local prosecutors-- they are all elected and do not care about the cops who enforce the law without fear or favor! Get in the way of a certin state politician from Elkton, and a law abiding and law enforcing officer will be rolled over by his steam roller!

You got that right... Greg Passwaters is well known in the law enforcement community as a straight shooter, totally honest, brave cop. he has risked his life time and again to protect the community and apprehend criminals!

If he is such a good cop, why has he constantly been put on probation? He's been given many warnings to control his behavior. He, just like many of our local government leaders act sometimes as if they are ABOVE the law...and we know they are not. I've seen him go bezerk quite a few times (including the most recent physical assault at the Ches. Inn). Seriously folks, he's been in no less than 3 fights at the Inn in less than 2 years. I just want to "keep it real." Having said that, I hope he stays on the force, I am glad he is watching our backs on the south side of the canal. It's good that a community knows and trusts their local patrolman. He just needs to relax/calm down a little. Maybe he'll learn that and hopefully continue to protect us.

--Some of us in the law enforcement community hear that it was some "brothers" from the Delaware "community" who had a beef with Deputy Passwaters and helped arranged this so-called incident. Yeah, we all know that sometimes there is interstate and inter-jurisdiction rivalry, but this whole thing smacks of personal vendettas against a guy who most of us know is a good guy who would never do anything to hurt the community. There are tons of people who are average citizens who would swear on their lives that Greg Passwaters is a great guy who saved their lives, the lives of their families, and helped them to no end!
