This is interesting. If he didn't know a cop was chacing him, there should be no charge. Because his actions would not have knowingly led to the cop's accident. Now running a cop off the road, or taking other such actions that would cause an accident would be a chargable offence. But the cop should have known that intersection and known that it was too hard of a turn to make it. I'm just glad no kids were playing there. This is much more the officer's poor decision. In that area, there is no way he would have been able to catch up to the bike. He should have relied more on the radio and other cops to help.
Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for his family and I don't encourage bikes and cars to drive like that. I just wish he had
used the other tools available to him. There are even understandable times not to persue when the danger to officer and
community is greater.

You idiot... If you did ANY research you'd find out that the suspect told investigator's that he tried to get home because he saw the trooper turn around and come after him.
