Beloit Father Charged in Baby Daughters Death

Prosecutors charge a man from Central Kansas in the death of his 11-month-old daughter.

to my knowledge he was not the father - the mother is getting child support from a man that also claims to be the father.

I dont know who u are but u seem like u know alot about everything. this is the first time i've been on here reading the horrible comments and the nice ones people put on here. Ben was my babys "daddy" that is who she called daddy and that is who was there for her he took care of her loved her and thought of her as his own. As for her sperm donor, he was never there. He didnt even pay child support till she passed away. what does that tell u about her sperm donor. I cant believe i'm on here reading this crap i didnt even know people could leave comments like this. All i gotta say is i've been through enough and people should have some heart. I'm tired of hearing rumors and rude comments. Nobody knows what happened but ben. I believe with all my heart what ben told me. None of u were there that night and none of u see what ben goes through but me and his family. Have alittle compassion and let us grieve in peace.

I'm sure you're a member of Amie's family. But not an active member cause I've never met you. I however am very close to Amie. And little baby Stevie was an angel in my life. I held that baby while she slept. I played with that baby. I cherished that beautiful little girl. Losing her is the greatest loss that has ever touched my life. Grief effects people in many different ways. I don't see how placing blame without facts solves anything. And being a witness does not make somebody guilty. The truth will come out. Until then why spread your hatred upom those who are suffering?

obviouslly you weren't there nor do YOU deserve any explanation...because of all the rumors bashing and accusations ,,,the whole world forgot to rule out any possibility that no physical harm took place and the whole case is based on assumptions

some mother when you don't have custody of Darien and had him taken away for selling drugs. I'm not the only one who feels this way about you and ur mothering skills or what really happened to Stevie. Why are you trying to hide it? ben's in jail. and hopefully that's where he stays. Too bad you're not there with him. A girlfriend of mine that I worked with this summer's mom is a nurse at the Beloit hospital and performed the autopsy...I know things.

I don't know jack about this case or anybody involved. But here is what I do know. If your friends mom is a nurse at the hospital and told you anything about the autopsy, that is a violation of federal law, and carries severe penalties for her and the hospital. Also, I am sure that the county attorny would be very interested if someone inside the facility is spilling evidence. I am sure he would be very inteested in visiting with youyour friend, and her mother

Ben was not charged with domestic violence. Surprise surprise, they didn't get their facts straight. Ben's old girlfriend will say the same thing. People like you don't want the truth, you want juicy gossip and you believe everything you hear. If you think that all these rumors you're spreading are hurting us you're wrong. They just discredit you. In the court of law your opinion won't matter. And when the truth comes out and Ben is released what will you do with all your spare time? Better go find some other fumors to feed off of.

Oh by the way that comment from Crabapple Cove is totally true. You may want to tell your girlfriends' mom that she will lose her job. I'm surprised you didn't know that. Ever heard of confidentiality or the hipocratic oath? And I'm sorry but any nurse who would break her oath isn't trustworthy. And last I checked nurses don't perform autopsies. Nobody is going to believe her or you. Warn her because she will be facing her own charges very soon. Stupid people should think before they act. You have no idea who you're up against. We will never give up. The truth will be told and this so called nurse will get hers.
