Go to this site; if it doesn't automatically open to the list of companies starting with "T" justr select "T" in the VIEW BY COMPANY box. You will get a list of ALL companies from 1955 to 2005 that were ever on the Fortune 500 list ... and Tekno is NOT on it.

The second one would employ around 75 people making cooking utensils. The last one was for packaging and shipping medicine for horses. All 3 paying good money and locating along the railroad. The election had taken place and Bob Hunt was the new Mayor. We then, decided to present this package of information to the Mayor and Council. It was a meeting during the day, not regular Council meeting. We ask Mayor Bob Hunt to prepare an insentitive package for these factories and go get them. The Chamber even told him they would pay his expense including plane tickets. He agreed to do this and leave on a Monday morning. When he didn't go, we questioned that and found out he took all this information we had worked so hard on, to Glasgow and gave it to them. He told us Glasgow would take care it for him. They did, not only Cave City lost them, but the State of KY lost them also. That's when we figured it all out and knew what was really going on. He is in that position to keep everything, especially factories, OUT of Cave City. That's why certain ones must be on his Committies and his Boards so they won't ask questions and he can control it all.
There is room in Cave City for both industry and tourism or there used to be. Now the industrial park has been sold off for housing complexes and any other property that was suitable for industry to come in. It's high time for the people to know what is really wrong with Cave City and I just told them.
Now don't tell me I haven't tried. I have and as long as Chris Holder was Mayor, it worked.
Ask Mike Houchens about these factories, he was there at the meeting. Todd and I have NEVER been in a business threating no one. Another lie.

I was very interested in what Betty said about getting Tekno in cave city so I wrote to Tekno and asked about the contact between Cave City and Tekno....here is the answer from Tekno....
"The following came from one of the owners……
Chris Holder was the Mayor and the one we worked with. We looked at a house with her afterwards outside of town, but she wasn’t involved with the Tekno deal as far as I know. I seem to recall her saying (when we looked at the house) that she had told Chris about us, but I am not sure about that."
This is the real truth of the matter, directly from Tekno.
