Yeah. But that's her businesses rule.
I think if you are a band and you agree to play at a business then you should respect their rules.

If I owned the business I wouldn't have paid them either - it doens't sound like they did the show anyway.

However, the CUSTOMERS who paid to see a show should have been refunded.

Let me clear a few things up. ok. i am one of the musicians who was playing at the factory last friday night. Understand this i have been playin rock music there ocassionally for the past year and a half. I have played at least ten to fifteen shows and got paid for ONE. Local musicians are doin the factory a favor by playing there. As for the the drinking it has NEVER and i repeat NEVER been an issue at the factory. I cant name you a show that i have played there that their hasnt been drinking out back. The owners have NEVER said a word about not drinking to us. As a matter of fact my band played their with another local rock band and we brought in close to 500 people into the factory on a friday night. The owner never said anything about the drinking that was goin on outback nor out front. Plus if this is a FAMILY ESTABLISHMENT then all those who were intoxicated should have been asked to leave. but then again money talks!! I was offended by the owners and their actions. We are not horriable people like she made us out to be. No one was drunk in the least. no fights, no dope, no naked women, just two guys havin a beer or too before playing. As for the owner being a Christian lady that maybe, but she did not show her Christian love to the band members or the crowd. But all is well i wish the factory the best. But as for Rock and Roll music bein played at the factory their will be no more!

After doing some looking up of things. The factory frauded the customers by not offering a refund when the factory did not provide the services that customers paid for. Regardless of the problem with the band the customers paid to hear the band and when a refund was refused that is fraud or theft by deception. The problem with the band was between the factory and the band not the customers and the band. The factory should have eaten the cost of operation and not tried to make the customers pay for services that were never performed. But being a good friend of todds and bettys it does not surprise me that the owner of the factory did what she did.

I sugest that all of the customers file a joint lawsuit to either have the place shutdown or to get the money back.

Theft or fraud is what it is regardless of the dollar value and a person can be ordered to shutdown for a few dollars or even placed in jail. I am sure this is not the first time she screwed people out of refunds or money for playing.

I forgot it is ok for her to screw people since she is todd and bettys friend. But if she was a friend of the mayor or someone else you would be complaining that it is a coverup and corruption.

There is a difference between no refunds for not being satisfied with the service and a refund for not providing the service. Basically you are saying that it is ok to offer a service or item take the money then not give the person what they paid for. That is called fraud, theft by deception or even illegal business practices. Even if a sign is posted. Nothing more than a con artist when you work that way.

So the next time a contractor comes to your home and wants to put new siding on it and takes money from you and never does the work as long as he has a sign that says no refunds it is ok he took your money. Right? If thats the case then do you want your house sided? I can always tell you the color you chose is not available then let you backout.

if the customer's weren't drinking (the band was apparently) and the customers did not get the show they paid for...why shouldn't they get their money back?

that IS incomprehensible that anyone would think that is an acceptable business practice.

you ever gone to a big concert before? i bet if they cancelled the show and didn't give the customers their money back it would go to court!

and i have asked for my money back quite a few times because of the band where they could not sing worth a shit ' but she would always say read the rules no refunds if you dont like the band tuff ' but like bo peep said
