guys, i hate to ruin your party, but untill bob decides not to run, he will be the mayor. he isn't cave city's problem. cave city's problem is that no one cares about small town usa anymore. im not saying anybody is at fault or whatever, it is plain and simple that cave city survives on tourists like it has since cave city was founded, so as they stop coming for whatever reasons, the city will hit the bottom. its no ones fault.

Aww, I doubt that.

Gosh, he doesn't have to run to be elected. And he serves the city anyway. Can anyone name a better ambassador for the city? This man is what life should be about. Honest, always was hardworking, knows everybody and they know him, and unlike a few unnamed local citizens, he knows right from wrong and legal from illegal. They should put a life size statue up of him in the town park. Give the man a medal for being a fine upstanding and honorable citizen.

Jewell for Mayor wrote:
Carol Ford does not have the passion for Cave City that Jewell has in him. I don't think Carol has lived here all her life...I think she married someone from here. Jewell has more passion for Cave City and its citizens than anyone. I think Jewell should have at least a one term run as Mayor or at least a one term position on the council in his life.
Who friggin cares if she has lived here all her life ? It should be based on qualifications not what her address was.
Imagine all the Obamites dismay if on Inaugeration day, they told Obama, you're not President because you weren't born and raised in DC. Now I see whay nobody wants to spend their money in a backwars thinking hick town like ours.

If that is true why would you want him to run for any political office ? I have never, ever known of a decent person remaining decent and kind and honest after being elected. They all change. They have to because of the circumstances and consequences. You can't please everyone. When the ones he doesn't please start in on him then he will be seen as corrupt in many peoples eyes. You can't win for losing in politics so let this man be and don't push him over the edge by asking him to run for office.

Well at least give him a statue for being the kind of person everyone should strive to be. A fine upstanding example for all to see and emulate.
But I do disagree with you. Jewell has made it into his golden years without being tarnished by lies, corruption or illegal activity. He's a good soul and nothing would change him.

Didnt know cave city was it's own country and needed and embassador. Last time cave city cave someting to a person for helping and being an outstanding person you and your friends called it corruption and stealing from the taxpayers. Tried geting people fired or to resign among other crap.

So make up your mind or is it now you want it done so believe it is ok.

The situation I am talking about is the fishing rod given to a man who didnt sit at the park watching everyone but got off his ass and helped collect garbage for free. When he was given a gift of appreciation a few claimed it was corruption and misuse of credit cards.

How some forget what they complained about.

Mcgrams, I never respond to these threads because they are usually based on third grade intelligence and emotion.
I resent you lumping me into your targeted group.
I notice you never have anything positive to say about anyone or anything unless its your so called friends, and then its always your immature blame game. Old news, get over it.

For Your So Called Expert Opinions, ambassadors are appointed to cities all the time. They are the cities outstanding citizens.

I don't care if you own property in the city or county and feel that you are the self appointed topic police for Cave City. Your opinions are off the wall and show you for the radical nut case you are.

Further more, Jewell Craine has more integrity in his little toe than you will ever have. He knows the good and the bad of the entire city, but he has enough class to treat everyone with respect, and he knows when to keep his mouth shut and his opinions to himself.

Do you even know this man?

Whether I know him or not is not the point. The point to my post was very clear that the last time a person was given a gift from the city for helping and being a great citizen officials were accused of wrong doing and now you seem that it is ok to do so. I guess then no one was accused in the past for such a nice deed by the city to a helping citizen. Is that what you are trying to say? Thank you for the compliment for as you call it being immature, a radical nut case and off the wall.

Your usage of the english language makes it hard for me to understand what it is that you're saying.

He is not trying to make a point he is just running his trap which never knows what he is saying. As you said off the wall nut case he always KNOWS IT ALL. It is a shame that everyone isn't as SMART as he THINKS he is. He thinks he knows everything about everything and is the smartest person in the world, well MR. Smart ...you only make yourself look dumber by doing this. You talk about people in Cave City being ignorant, I believe you h ad better look in the mirror, you only THINK you are smart we all KNOW the truth.

Try "Hooked On Phonics" or go back and finish school. You speak about the way he uses the language and yet you don't capitalize the word "English" as everyone knows you should. It's hilarious when you try to correct others as you make as many mistakes doing so. Work on your GED Vic and then come back and play Professor Know-It-All on the forum. Thanks for the laugh !!

If you dont understand then I believe it is you that needs to learn english a little better because I dont speak hillbilly sorry, so I can not explain it to you in your native language. Your sidekick wonder picked the perfect user name. It fits him or her perfect since he or she dont understand anything other than what it reads on topix and the user agree aparently does not even know me becasue I am not old or bitter.

You 3 remind me of the three stooges and dumb and dumber all in one.

Face it bob is mayor for another few years and you cant do anything to change it.

I disagree

Who said anything about Bob ? It's clear you can't express yourself by writing, it is also clear you can't read and comprehend much and you add slams that people haven't expressed. What is your problem?

Aparently you have the problem, you cant understand plain english. Aparently you need someone to spell everything out to you. That is your problem not mine. You keep asking for a translation or to speak clear english but no one else seems to have a problem understanding. This thread is about the mayor and some wanting a new one if you dont like my opinions on the topic too bad. Rather than try to ride my ass why dont you add some productive input to the topic rather than pay attention to me. Same goes to the couple of others who seem to have so much to say but no meaning to their words.

I believe you and a few just dont like everytime you spew some bs that others have a comment back to it. If you dont want to hear any return comments the maybe it is you that needs to just quit posting.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
