I have known Dr. Hogan as a patient and as a professional. He was known as the best diagnostician in KY. He saved my father's life more times than I can count. I also read the public record of his medical license review. In my opinion, he made mistakes, he did not follow the law with regard to best practice, and he broke the rules of safety for his patients. As a human, he experienced THE MOST difficult life altering loss in dealing with his daughter's death, He was a workaholic with total dedication to his patients. Marriages crumbled when reality set in that he was dedicated to his career. His caring personality won over hearts of his staff and patients. However, his downfall was what many people turn to when grief is too much--alcohol. Alcohol is liquid courage and changes one's brain to think, feel and do stupid things. One thing that has not changed is his desire to service people. Whether he practices medicine or city council service, one thing you can count on is dedication.

i was a patient of dr hogan when he lived in cumberland county. i am not proud of the fact but the county done him bad, and to say that dr hogan is wonderful is an understatement, cause he is too wonderful for words. i consider him a friend for life. i read that he was a drunk. well my son went to the er in glasgow after being stopped for being drunk,{im not proud of that fact} and dr hogan wouldnt see him cause of the way his daughter died, and you know it didnt make me mad, it made me proud of him. now does that sound like he is sorry. i love him to death and my son does to now. no one knows the road that he has had to take and we are not suppose to judge and please give credit where it is deserved. gary hogan deserves our respect. my hats off to you sir.

I remember going to Dr. Hogan in the late 70s and I had been having some medical issues as a teenager and I had been to a specialist in Nashville and they couldn't diagnose me, Dr. Hogan was able to determine my issue immediately. He was probably the most talented physician ever in this area, its just a shame some personal issues got in the way.

Those personal issues are called politics by other doctors.

Dr hogan was one of the best physicians in our intire area. It was shame that TJ Samson hospital did him the way they did. All because of him being the better doctor.

His address is on Owen st. He is at Owen street some and his Dad's house some depends what nights he stays with his Dad. He is out and about throughout the day ate Convention Center, Glasgow and at the garden. Anything else, just ask.

I always thought Ellis Hogans place was in the city because they pay school tax out there.

Which one of Ellis's places? He has some acres above the Dairy Queen. Also has some acres on Old Bardstown Road. Gary and Tony are taking care of Ellis. Bertha lives in her house on Broadway.

That's says a lot about Dr Gary Hogan who is willing to take care of Ellis instead of throw him in some nursing home like most do when there parents can't take care if themselves. Dr Hogan you are truly a great man to do that for your father.

Gary's place on Owens street is in the city, but whether or not his fathers falls out shouldn't matter since Garys mailing address would be the house in the city.
