We love coming there but we also like to hear live music not just cd's and stuff. When there are live bands around it makes it a lot more fun.

From 10:00pm - 12:00AM Kids should be a sleep not out somewhere eating or anything else. Feed the kids at supper time not at bed time and that will help obesity to. Dang people grow up.

Double Play it isn't going to matter what you do people are going to bitch. That's what people do. They bitch when there is nothing to do and they bitch when something new comes in. There is no winning. Just keep your business clean and the girls respectable and maybe business will pick up. But as far as kids eating there there are so many things for kids to do around there, dino world, gun town, ky down under. It is about time there was something for adults to do. The factory was full of kids and there is (was) nothing for us to do. I hope more stuff comes in.

Why does EVERY place have to be "family oriented"? How about a place that is ADULT oriented, especially after a certain hour at night. EVERY other restaurant and place in CC is family oriented, can't there be just one place for adults to hang out? I don't mean a strip bar but a place for adults to gather and have a good time. I like Double Play and they have some GREAT food. Try their chili cheese burger and fries. They cut their own fries and the bread they use has been fresh each time. I don't get on topix any more but I was told this thread was on here so I came and commented. I like the place, the owners and the workers. I believe they have a gold mine, as long as they don't allow any druggies around, the'll do well, very well.

One more thing, I would lose the boucers, makes a person feel uncomfortable. Just regular bars in BG don't have bouncers.

You are trying to push the limits of liquor-by-the-drink, making it a bar issue. Bars are not allowed under liquor-by-the-drink. What you will end up doing is making citizens fearful that you are trying to go for "wet". This will end up causing a group to petition to reverse the liquor-by-the-drink vote. Your actions could cause the reversal to pass easily, then starting a cascading effect to neighboring communities that have recently gone to "limited." I sure wouldn't want to be known as the person that ruined the opportunity for people to have a legal "social" drink in a family atmosphere.

Bars are only for wet town's, Cave City is NOT a wet town. If you want a BAR go to BG or Nashville. If you want to not have to travel to a wet town then MOVE!

That's because they don't want a restaurant.. they want a BAR, which is in not what we voted in. We voted in a moist town. So those of us who choose to have a drink with out meal can do so. Not so a few can sit around at night getting plastered. That's why they called it a bar in the first post. There is no way they are making 70% of their profit in food sales.

Finally some good constructive criticism...topix needs more thinkers, people that really care. Most just show that all they care about is drama

Who would want to take their kids to a bar? It is called "The Double Play BAR and Grill"? right? I know what a Bar means. It means beer and such I wouldn't want my kids where beer is served anyway. Where there is beer there are wild and crazy people. I would go to the bar but I would not take my kids.

These people would bitch and rattle about how heavy they were to pack out if you gave them gold bricks for stopping by.

I don't usually comment on these things, but that has to be the most ignorant comment I have ever read. Have you ever been out of Cave City? Almost every nice restaurant in Bowling Green serves alcohol: Rafferty's, Outback, O'Charley's... These places are not wild and crazy. They do not have bouncers because they do not need bouncers. Families come in and eat, people come have a drink at the bar, there's nothing wild about it. If they want to be a BAR, they should take off the "grill" part and move to a place that allows bars.
