Driving thru Cave City, and noticed those hideous Christmas lights the've used for 7 or 8 years are back up on the poles again. They didn't even look good when they were new, but now most of the lights are out or they have replaced the lights with a different kind. I honestly can't even tell what most of the designs are supposed to be. Come on people get something that looks better, or just leave them down next year. Just a simple bow or wreath would look much better.

maybe they like it--maybe some people don't like yours or maybe some people don't like your curtains--or your bushes growing in front of your house-are you going to cut them???everybody sees things different

i would like them if all the bulbs were lit - the ones putting them up should replace the burned out ones, that's stupid not to. I think they would look better if they were all mixed up and not those crazy star ones

Yeah, those star ones are actually independence day decorations. Whoever purchased these didn't know what they were doing. They all need to be tossed and some new ones purchased or just leave them down. They make Cave City look even trashier than it is already.

Has anyone noticed that those "star" decorations... if you look at them just right... it looks like a drunk mexican leaning against a pole with his head hung over.

You know what I have noticed about Cave City ? It isn't the Christmas decorations...it is the fact that Jesus himself could decorate this fine city and you people would still find a reason to complain.

I take it that I hit a sore spot with someone, maybe you're the person who chose the decorations. Sorry if I insulted your taste. Truth be known, most people would agree. Please understand that we all have the right to our own opinion, and this is mine. It simply does not make Cave City look better, nor does it add a Christmas feeling. However I do have to agree with the above post, about the drunk guy leaning against a pole. If you tilt your head a little it looks like he's dancing....yeah....,anyhow. The point I'm trying to make is just leave them down or put them all up on one pole or whatever. If I wasn't anonymous, it wouldn't make much difference. You don't want to hear this, and the decorations still wouldn't look any better. Now, someone is complaining because others have an opinion.

People will always complain about something. They complain about us complaing about the decorations. Same thing, different subject. As for Jesus decorating this town, don't you think He suffered enough already for us? Don't throw Him into this lions den with the rest of the christians. Have a nice day!

It's like this, Cave City doesn't have to put those decorations up but they do. They don't have to spend money on them but they did. They don't have to spend money on manpower to have them put up but they do. It's done for the season and that's all. It's not like we have to look at them for a full year. I am going out on a limb here and say that even if the city wanted new decorum the budget wouldn't allow it. So we might not want to look a gift-horse in the mouth to be honest. Just be thankful we actually have something to hang up on the poles and in all reality, isn't it for the kids anyhow? They're where our focus is/should be and I would bet good money that those kids could care less if they look a bit funny or whatnot. It sure puts them in the holiday spirit and that's all that matters.

Newsflash...Jesus is in every thought, every discussion and every phase of our lives. People like you keep trying to take him out of every discussion. Please stop. That is so disrespectful to try to take the Lord out of our every day lives. You may want to exclude him but that doesn't mean everyone else feels that way.

Before you start brow-beating me with the Bible, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I was not taking God out of anything nor am I going to waste my time trying to explain what I was saying. So please stop your preaching. I go to church for that and don't need you to remind me of where God is.
