I forgot Mike lived in Alabama for awhile, had to be over 20 years ago, he's been on the council that long. I was in the service back then.

So basically then for 20 yrs he has been living in the house in PC and has been on cc council. WOW....Talk about frauding the city for years. He has only claimed not living in a different house since his wife so for the rest of the time it has been fraud. But thats ok with most of you because he is Mike H and nobody will stand up against the residence issues.

I rode the school bus with "the son" during the last 20 years and it didn't run out to the country.

Could that the house would be in the county school district and not caverna. Many parents pick thier kid up or meet the bus in cc so their kid can goto caverna instead of barren or hart county. During the school age the parents owned the store in cc making it an easy drop of close by. As I said I dont care how many of you try to stick up for mike on this one because many know he dont live in the city limits so again it will be an debate until there is proof either way. Which there more han likely wont unless someone monitors the address for months because mike will switch a house for awhile so he dont get caught doing it. He switched houses a fe years back when the subject came up then eventually he went back to the house in pc.

The controversy with Mike or Gary Hogan not living in the city wouldn't be an issue had it not been for the issue with the maps and hunts removal, there have been many council people that lived outside the city for years. I have said before, if you own rental property in a town, you can get by claiming a residence. Just like Elsie voting in cave city when everyone knows she's up in Edmonson county where she lives, what about those troublemakers from ohio that admitted they would vote in cave city until they sold there home, when they weren't even living in the area for months.

And every person that did it on council has done it illegally and fraudently. Read the law on it and then the others....well it is a loophole in the laws that allow dual residency for voting. The ones on council that are known to or have been known to live outside the city limits shouldnt be allowed to be elected in future elections. Mike uses a po box last it was looked into by a few people so it wouldnt be hard for him to claim any address on his voting and election records. You hear all this talk about cleaning up the council and city offices then you get the hypocrits who stand up for the the ones still not following the laws on the issue. Makes you wonder how far the city is going to go in the future. I guess if a company interested finds out maybe they wont move there and have to deal with the hassle.

Nope....Just letting all the idiots think about their next choice of city government. It dont matter what is said or done they will make the wrong choice anyways. I guess cc will always be the same so they can have the lying council member and the others who are looking out for personal interests instead of the city's. Besides I have better things to do then argue with a few who think they have it all figured out but dont know squat.

Grams, you were right, I asked some folks and they said Mike Houchens got involved in some issues years ago and he almost went to jail, I thought you were making that up.

All of your old friends like Hogan are telling lies about the proud days festival coming up, they are selling Cave City as a historical great town when all downtown is anymore is the trash that walks around with there shirts off and pants pulled down selling drugs. They sell drugs in the park in the daytime I caught one of them recently, I just wish they would admit Cave City is a hellhole.

I have no reason to make up anything about any of these people. Hopefully some others will wake up and at least listen and check into what is said rather then just assume it is bs.

I hear Arnold Schwarzenegger is running as a write in for Cave City Council race. If you don't have to live in the city limits, why not have someone with experience?

The law says you have to live in city limits but some aparently feel they are above the law. Face it the city is screwed and some of the people believe they can do whatever because of their name.

Houchens has never had an agenda, he has been a neutral figure for his entire run, unlike these newbies who are campaigning pretty hard, have heard that some of bettys crew want back on the council.

I guess it is a matter of whether you believe a person should lie to gain office or not. Anyone who lies to get in a council or government position has some reason beyond just helping the city. Especially when you own a very large pat of the citys rentals. How do you think that I would know what the votes would be before a meeting? Tell you .....because houchens, davidsons, and some others would tell what they were going to vote on. The background checks...I knew a week before it was voted on that it wasnt going to pass...and if it did it would be vetoed The cellphones.....knew prior to the meeting again it wasnt going to pass. I am telling you there were reasons that the information was being shared with other council and some outside city hall before the meetings. Politics has no boundries in cc in my opinion. It is a shame the city will end up looking like park city or some other area that let the same crap go on until the city was done.

It's Wilshire or Minor or Pedigo that don't get elected. One of the new guys gets in, my order of finish

1. Houchens
2. Hogan
3. Ford
4. Ellzey
5. Doyle
6. Minor
7. Pedigo
8. Wilshire

Mike Houchens will always be the top vote getter because he can do what he wants, live where he wants and nobody's gonna stop him.

At the chili supper, why did they have meet the candidates?? Do you all remember that joke that the fire department put on a few years ago to come out and meet the candidates and the ones that showed up didn't even get elected and then the fire department made asses of themselves a year later. Bob Hunt, Pam Hunt and others can thank that incident partially for there removal.
