Why is Mike Gibbons so persistent on his quest to become jailer? Kinda reminds me of Esters when he ran for council. Someone whom is so desperate for an elected position immediately draws a red flag. Plus the election is months away.

I was going to vote for Matt Mutter anyways and I know I will support him 100% since Gibbons obviously has an agenda.

You cannot compair Gibbons to EASTERS. Come on! What makes you think he is desperate? He has made a good name for himself for all the police positions he has served.

Most start to look for voters 6-12 months ahead of the eletion. Mike is not persistent but comitted to the career he chose in law enforcement. But to say he is desperate is to say the same about matt. They are both doing the same things right now, looking for voters. To say gibbons has and agenda again is to say the same about matt. They both have agendas and that is to try for the open jailers position.

Both are good officers and in the end it will be a election on who is liked better and not by who is better qualified for the position. Bothe men have good ideas what needs to be done and how to attempt to acheive that goal. The only advantage right now is that matt was appointed as jailer so everyone believes he is best for the job but if matt had to go thru normal methods of obtaining a position as jailer it may be different.

True, but it seems like Gibbons is treating the jailer race as the race for the White House. I don't think Matt Mutter has hardly campaigned at all due to the fact he works about 70-80 hours a week with all the responsibility he currently holds.

Gibbons does have about 15 years of experience that Mutter lacks, but in this case I think Mutter is fresh and young and has that determination factor in him, plus he really has turned the place around after the fiasco with Leland Cox and considering Cox was so thick with a lot of Cave City's dept. heads, makes me believe that Mutter would be the most capable for a fresh start. But experience does hold a lot and Gibbons has that one nailed.

I dont believe that matt is worknig 70-80 hours at the jail. Matt is also not that young. It shows dedication if mike is out talking to people now. Most people who are running for an elected position will go and talk with people months ahead of time and even as early as about 1.5 years. This gives the people the opertunity to watch how everyone is acting and taking responsibility.

Technically I believe that the jailer election should have been filled this november since it was an appointed position the new election should have been held at the next elections which was a couple weeks ago. So if you look at it this way matt is getting his chance as jailer regardless which is something no other candidate gets a chance to do.

Again I will say they are both good guys and it wll be interesting to see who else runs for the position and wins. In the end it will all come down to popularity.

How many people go out and buy a van and have it painted up for an election. Does he want to be a Deputy, Security Guard, City police (2 times at CCPD), Jailer or what does he even want to be? Wants positions and gets them but never satisfied, how long if he won would it be before some other position caught his eye? Can we be sure IF HE WON he would stick it out? Bounced all over the place since leaving Glasgow P.D. Good guy but WHAT DOES HE WANT TO BE?.

How do you know he wasnt or isnt satisfied with the positions he has held in law enforcement? Just because he has swap back and forth a couple times does not mean a thing. There could be other reasons or it just be that is what he chooses to do. He has the right to decide and select what is right for him. What many of you fail to remember is Mike retired from Glasgow PD and if I am correct was the Assistant Chief at the time he retired. So he can sit at home on his a&& or he can choose to contribute to the community in ways he knows best. There are no Chief positions open in the area so the next best move for Mike to make would be as jailer or sheriff. Since Howard is running for sheriff I dont believe that Mike would run against Howard out of respect.

You can draw your own conclusions but in the end Mike in my opinion has put in enough time to be able to pick and choose what he wants out of his career in law enforcement.

Mike isn't as squeaky clean as he appears, I know. He might be alot like Leland was if you know what I mean. I know for a fact of sex on the job in Mike's patrol car, and I ain't his wife.

So what does that say about you? You must be a homewrecking ho if it is true. So what did you do for him full sex or just a knob job? Either way it is only gossip and has no facts other than your word. No one is squeaky clean in this world and everyone makes a mistake. Now lets look some of the other candidates pasts...I bet someone has something to say that is not squeakt clean as you say.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Sagittarius

Once again, the domestic atmosphere isn't exactly peaceful. Someone is still all worked up, and you may have come out in sympathy by now. Try to discuss things with as much objectivity as you can muster, otherwise, with Mars now retro, the conversation will soon disintegrate into a bad-tempered spat or a slanging match in which you try to catch one another out. It's important to clear the air.
