Portales man arrested in fatal stabbing

A Portales man is accused of stabbing to death a 72-year-old man in a robbery. A judge on Tuesday signed a warrant against 46-year-old Isaac Montano II on an open charge of murder and robbery.

This story is proof that criminals have no brains whatsoever. He was caught with the man's wallet and a weapon belonging to the dead man.

This man harrassed me for months and I was told, according to law that he had to actually commit an act of violence against me before I could do anything about it, that there was a loop hole in the law!

Umm, not to be rude or anything but the article say's that Isaac first tried to rob the man and then he KILLED him... If there is more to the story please fill all of us in. As we would love to know and I'm sure the police would too. I'm not sure how it could have played out other than the man he killed didn't ask to die! But Isaac had no problem killin him now did he, and the the man certainly did not fall on to the knife and kill himself. Like I said, if you have more info, PLEASE feel free to share here with everyone else.

yes there is more to the story: let us see how the District Attorney and his crew do everything to make Mr. Montano guilty until proven innocent and Mr Chapman an innocent victim. God does really know what happened here, and He is testing us all..Let us witness the type of Justice that is usually found in Roosevelt County.

First of all that is what the paper says! you want me to fill you in about what happened! Well first of all do you know this man is a known child molestor! Gay man and we have people that have come forward and let us the family know that this man is out there looking for someone to have sex with them plus young children that have come forward to the family that this innocent old man had sexually touched them! Next Mr. Montano did not enter this mans home with a weapon! You nor the police know how isaac went into the house weather he was invited or he broke in the way you all are already saying! The Roswell news stated that Isaac was invited into Mr.Chapmans home! what happened once isaac entered the home no one but Isaac and mr. chapman knows unfortunely Mr. Chapman is no longer with us but when you asked me to fill you in on the details! Please Please don't be an idiot and start being sarcastic! i don't know the details and the only thing i said was quit jumping to conclusions! Wait to see the facts!
