You must have at least 5 years of work experience after high school to apply. So, about 23 years old.

The union is what you make it! It is only as strong as its members. When was the last time you went to a union meeting? Not lately I bet! Let me guess when it was time to vote on the contract or did you just skip that one too!! You get out of it what you put into it! The guys that go vote on items of business that effects everyone, but the guys that don't participate shouldn't bitch or gripe about what the "fat cats" do! No one stops you from going and having a say except you!! I worked there for over 33 yrs and was a shop steward for most of that time! I represented many guys just like you! If it didn't directly effect you you could care less! But if it did it was the most important thing in the world !!! PARTICIPATE DON'T CRY!!

And when the union goes so do those $20 an hour jobs!! Back to $10 like all the other farm hands! Ins paid holidays you can kiss that all good bye! You punk kids don't realize how hard us old guys fought to get the things y'all just walked in and had from the start!! I've seen guys worked to death from heat exhaustion . Like I said your union is only as good as the men who make it! If its made of men who stand up for each other it great! But a bunch if spineless punks and your right, you got no union!!

This job at Noranda is so hard to get, how do you ever get hired on? All the years in manufacturing and tests. Still no job. Some guy told me it took him 10years to get on. Family and all work there and still no job.
