And you are a dumb hick. I do have children, that's why I wouldn't give a crap if this kid died! If it's him or my children, guess what honey, I ain't pickin his **** to live! Maybe the heartless one is the idiot drinking and driving! And if you can tell me your logic behind dragging rapists into this conversation I would LOVE to hear it. Have a great day in Hickville Oklahoma :)
Well good for you for not caring if someone died!!! Maybe if it happens to one of your children you might have a different out look. As for the logic I assume that it was in reference to you saying that someone who made a stupid choice to drink and drive should die, while there are others out there right now who have done way worse things than drinking and driving.

This young man is alive, the driver of the pepsi truck is alive, and there was no other person hurt in the accident, so he does not have to live with the fact that he killed or injured someone for life. Now mom and dad what example are you setting for him, do you drink? What was his upbringing. Remember if you have failed to be a good example. be one now! The only thing that I have ever seen help someone like this is to give his life to Christ. I pray some Christian he knows reads this and get this kid the word of God in his hands, no not just a "Christian" but a follower of Christ's teaching. Prayers with the family. Mom ya really need to get it right! If they are not, get your priorities stright~~~~~

Ok...first off, lay off the mom here! How in the world does she have anything to do with this? The boy is 19 (adult) she raised him right, and he knows right...sometimes people make mistakes! And on top of that, he is the only one hurt here, so lay off him as well!!! Don't you think the fact that he landed in the hospital is more than enough punishment?!?!?! He has learned his lesson I'm sure! Was it right to drink and drive? NO! But as I said, he is living his punishment right now, so get off it people! Most of you have drank and then gotten behind the wheel, you are just to chicken to admit it! Go on with your lives!!!

Guess the 19 year old wasn't driving the 45 mph speed limit through there either. The lanes get pretty tight through there.

It is a proven fact that not one drunk driver has ever stopped after having an incident while drunk driving. I am talking something as simple as just being pulled over and ticketed to the more serious conviction of prison time for the murder of someone while drunk driving. NEVER! Just tell me that you know one person that made a mistake driving while drunk and not ever did it again and I will admit to being misinformed. But I too agree with the death of the drunk drivers. There is no other way to stop them I DO NOT believe the word of god will save him either, because we all know that Godly people make mistakes and then simply ask for forgiveness and go on making MISTAKES. I am in agreement with you on the mothers fault, not being her fault. Only would I say such a thing was if this child was jobless and living at home, then I would reconcider. I am glad he is okay but then again, cry for those that will be killed or injured by his next mistake! AND, if it comes to my children and a drunk driver, no matter his age, I would hope death on them over the mere thought they may kill my child!!!

It's ridiculous to me that these idiot teenagers think they are bulletproof! I don't care who thinks I am mean, he should have died. My grandfather was killed by a semi, maybe if he'd been drunk his life would have been spared! RIDICULOUS! I hope your family reads this Dameon! You should be getting ready to be put in a box 6 feet under!
FIRST I Would like to state I am the mother of the 19 YR old boy, Dameon, whom was driving the mustang. Also, the daughter of a man that died, when a drunk driver hit his vehicle. I could understand people being upset and wanting justice for the extent of this accident. I thank God for everyone, including MY SON, involved in the accident that no one was killed. I am also very grateful that the driver of the semi was uninjured, unlike my dad who died as a result of the choice the DRUNK DRIVER made. Furthermore, I would like to say wishing death on someone for an accident is incredibly cruel and harsh. I lost my father and do not wish death on the women that killed him. I trust the laws are put forth for a reason and Dameon alone will be accountable and responsible for the choices he made that night. A lot of people not only "Idiot teenagers" believe they are Bulletproof. I work in the OR, as a Registered Nurse and have taken care of many people ranging from children, parents, grandparents, and Awe yes criminals and never want to see anyone die. And I have only one question for you, would it have been any different if he was texting, talking on his phone, or messing with his radio? would you still want to see this 19 yr old boy die due to a mistake and buried in a box and put six feet under? Because all the things mentioned above cause many wrecks and yes death due to "idiot teenagers" and adults that believe they are bulletproof! And mean isn't exactly the word that came to mind after reading your comment. I can only hope that if you are a mother that your children do not make any MISTAKES, because if they do, would you wish death on them?

I'm very pround to say that I'm the Grandmother of Dameon. He is a very smart young man who is a joy to be around. I know that if he would of died in this wreck it might of made A few of you happy but it would of tore our world apart. I know one two year old little boy who would not agree with you either. He loves his Daddy and his Daddy loves him. He also has a son on the way so you would wish these childern fatherless because their Dad made a wrong choice? Dameon is a Father, Son, Brother, Grandson Nephew and Friend to many. You see he is so much more then a wrong choice, in which he is very remoseful. I do feel that he has learned from this and people do change. we all have made wrong choices and most of us has learned from them if we never made them then how could we learn. even God allows people to make mistakes so who are we to speak death on anyone? if we had to be perfect and never make mistakes to live on this earth then this world would be a very lonely place for a few people. For the record Dameon's Mother is a good Mother and she has taught him how to live right. but you can give people advice but if they make the wrong choice then whos responsible the one who gave the advice or the one who made the wrong choice? to the inbeleivers go to the picture of the mustang you will see a cross we beleive God put that there to show others that Jesus saves. And I know he was with our Grandson and the other driver that is the real reason they are still alive. it was also a sign to us that our Grandson was going to be ok. so all I'm saying is we should pray more and judge less and that would change alot of things and make this place a better world to live in. God Bless

The driver of this car is my nephew Dameon is an excellent young man, and yes he has been around adults drinking and driving his uncle included. He has been around several people who has made several mistakes it just so happens this world is full of people who make mistakes over and over again, but it is people that think killing drunk drivers, raping child molesters, and so on that the reason our country has so many repeated mistakes. It sounds like just a lack of compasion on their part, but in fact it is just laziness not wanting to face we have a problem and not knowing how to deal with them. So you call us Hicks but you say if you mess up kill im redneck and that sounds hick to me. So on our families behalf we appolize for being a bad example to my nephew, for his irrational indangerous thinking that caused danger to others and I assure everyone he is remorseful because he is a very kind and compansionate young man, and I am sure he will face the full extent of the law and recieve a just punishment for his actions. So all you Jesus people and all you Hitler people should be satisfied. Thanks Uncle Tommy and Aunt Janie.

I don't think having a valid opinion that many people believe is stupid. What good have these vices done to our society?

you talk about how bad this person is for drinking/driving. Why is no one talking about the County Commisssioner from Okmulgee County? He has had 4 DUI's why is he any better than this person? He has gotten off 4 times, next time he may kill your loved on while he is drinking and driving!

maybe he should Lose your Drivers License for a year and have his insurance go up double that would stop these kids or anyone else for that matter to drink and drive ! that is for first offence, after that loose it for good! people need to have the laws changed. this is crazy.it seems no one gives a rats a@@ about oklahoma laws or the police for that matter, they just do what they want because they know nothing is going to happen to them.

Ok I wasn't on this wreck but I have seen my fair share of fatalities due to drunk/distracted drivers!! Unfortunately when their is a fatality it's not the drunk/distracted driver. Personally I see no difference in driving drunk and killing someone with a gun!! I'm a avid hunter and a concealed carrying permit holder, so I am not against guns or alcohol for that matter, but when you make these choices and a fatality happens you should be charged for 1st degree murder!! I have no sympathy for drivers like that, in my years in the fire service I've seen horrible accidents due to these types of things, I really never want anyone to die, but there are some people out there that it would be better for civilization if they did! I'm so glad that both of these drivers wasn't killed!! Sadly every day a families life is turned upside down due to drunk/distracted drivers.

& you're actually funny :) I do have anger at people who drink and drive. My grandfater was killed by an intoxicated truck driver. That is why I feel the way I do. I will do my best to teach my children to obey the laws and call cabs if they decide to get drunk, but that's exactly what it is, a DECISION. A decision that can ruin families and lives.

As a mother, I'm glad your son is okay. As his mother I hope you take this opportunity to teach him the dangers of driving in general. Distractions are everywhere, but I can't help but feel that drinking in driving is more than a distaction.
