This is for both sides. Instead of arguing over every little thing just do the job you have been asked to do. Quit with the he wants power or the teachers are worried for the kids stuff. I believe both sides should be their for the kids. So in short just because a school board member is not liked doesn't make him a bad person. He might have different goals for the school than yours. Teachers are too teach and have the kids ready for the real world. Your board members lets not forget are voted in by your community.

LOSERS would be my one word definition about the Sperry School Board. These 4 must have taken lessons from the "3 Broads" in BA. The problems are definitely the result of these 4 numnutz on the board. Freda and Pat.....you go and keep all this nasty info in the spotlight so do whatever it takes as a school district to get rid of these 4. They don't give a rats' tutu about the kids. What a joke. Tar and feather the 4 and ride them out of town on a rail. What a bunch of POS's they are. It appears to me from reading about these 4 peabrains that the school board/teacher/student relationships have gone straight down the proverbial crapper...

I hate it that Channel 6 felt they had to through in that tidbit at the end about the gal with cancer, I hate to hear anyone has the disease, but schools have limited funds and everything that they get has to be used wisely. If she was unable or unwilling to go outside it means she was unable to perform the duties of the postion for which she was hired. My guess is she was fired for something completely different. It's entirely possible that she could have been the worst employee ever, all we hear is that she was a "victim".

Do some real reporting Channel 6

That doesnt mean she couldnt do her job!!!! Just wonder how you would want to be treated if it was you. All she asked was to not be told to go outside that doesnt mean she cant teach the kids. You are a moron. Then again she may have been the best teacher that they had. Get a life asshole!!!!!

Yes, if she wouldn't go outside it means she couldn't perform part of the function of her job. Why would the school fire the best teacher they ever had dillweed? They wouldn't, so it must have been something else.......

Kelli Morgan also has another lawsuit filed against the schools from where her 4 year old was left half-naked, unattended in the classroom after having an accident. Amy Emberson simply "forgot" the child...turned out the lights and went to lunch. Is it a coincidence that this was the child of Kelli Morgan who just HAPPENED to be fired? Or are they taking out their anger with Kelli on her child?

It would be an embarassment to be associated with this school board.

I personally know the school board members involved and the ones who were protesting. Can't we just get along especially for the kids' sakes? I don't believe the school board has done anything morally wrong. I think there is alot of things that could be improved in our school, but overall I am very happy with the teachers. The administration has gone through alot of changes, so I can't speak about them because I haven't known them. As far as Ms. Emberson is concerned, my children had her for a teacher and she would NEVER purposely neglect or mistreat a child. I don't know anything about the cancer patient story. Let's get pass all this and try to concentrate on what's best for the children.

Somethings wrong in Sperry! Too many chiefs, not enough indians!
Come on Sperry get out and vote! This is why you ended up with not 1 but 4 crooked board memebers. Do your research and go register to vote.

My child was a student of Mrs. Emberson's....she was nice, but not educated enough to be teaching children. While going thru a custody battle, she was told not to let my child leave with ANYBODY that wasn't on the list. She let my child leave with people not on the list at least 3 times. My child also had an accident at school one day. WITHOUT even calling to notify me, she put him in GIRL PANTIES! How humiliating for a 4 year old!!!! It would have been a different story, had she been unable to get ahold of me....but she didn't even call.

I think the school and the board need to be cleaned up and start fresh. If these adults can't stop the fued, the state may take charge and sperry schools maybe shut down, everyone needs to think about the students.

I have possible skin cancer and I find it hard to believe that a doctor would tell a patient not to do an outside duty. My doctor told me that I could go outside with a good sunscreen SPF 30 or higher and a wide brim hat. I've known some others with skin cancer and they didn't stay indoors all the time either. Anybody else think this sounds kind of strange?

What specifically has the school board done that has people so upset?
Sounds like a fight between Morgan and the board, and a difference of opinion on one teacher.
The children are the real losers. Where's Sandy???

You hire a teacher based on their ability to teach a subject, not whether they can handle playground duty.

It basically boils down to a power struggle. The good ole boy system was dismantled. The problems here did not start with this school board.

So until you have actually been diagnosed with melanoma, aren't you just comparing apples to oranges?

Are you a dermatologist, or even a doctor? Do you know anything else about Ms. Morgan that her doctor does not?

That's *your* doctor, not hers. The use of sunscreen for melanoma patients is still up for debate.

And that means they are correct? Smokers still smoke even though they know it's bad for them. Folks still inject themselves with drugs knowing full well it's harmful.

Some may, I don't.
